Speaking of opposable thumbs, that chimp better move it's right one to a better spot.

meh, see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4FChkrZ6kU

Rhino dominates the cape buffalo and based on how I see the buffalo fighting, I don't see it having much of a chance against an angry grizzly. For perspective, watch the ferocity seen in this display of two grizzlies fighting one another:

and also here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNehtyJMK2A

Jesus, that buffalo didn't really have a chance, did he? Brutal, but I didn't see a death like the title in the first video indicates.

Thanks for addressing my submission.satisfied.gif

There is something to be said for agility over size.

^I'm not convinced that sumo was giving it his all, he could have done a lot more damage. He appeared to just fall on his stomach and give up.

Hopefully you replaced "sleep" with "sex".

A single Komodo Dragon could easily do the job. These are large and extremely deadly animals. No contest.
One bite on a Grizzly's leg and the dragon will just wait it out for the poison to take out the bear. Then it's dinner time.

Komodo venom seems to be comparitively weak, probably the main thing that kills their prey after a bight is the virulent bacteria in their saliva.

If we're talking about an average animal meeting another average animal in the wild (even though they don't inhabit the same areas), stop with the ridiculous 1500lb grizzly bears and 23' long crocodiles.

Who said average, Buzzkill Aldrin?

of all these, I think I'd like to see a rhino fight a grizzly, I think that would be very interesting. I'd pay a couple hundred bucks a ticket for that.

This is a great thread. Reminds me of the conversations my friends and I have.

For years, I thought a gorilla could take a bear, but after visiting a zoo a while ago I've changed my mind. I'm sure the gorilla's got some seroius strength, but is tiny in comparison to a bear.

How's about Andre the Giant? 7 foot tall and 500lbs. Now THAT would be a fight I would have paid good money to watch!

Yeah no poisonous frogs, spiders, venomous snakes, etc.

But even still, Komodo loses this fight. Before the grizzly bear dies of the infection which takes days to accumulate, the dragon is long dead from the grizzly bear's vicious frontal cleaves

Same here provided it's a massive grizzly of the 1200-1500lb variety.... would so love to see that
