I understood what she's getting at in her story, though it is oddly composed and a bit murky.

I got that part.

Op why is making money the most important thing to you?

I want to be comfortable and be able to have the finer things in life.

Plus, being wealthy and successful means being higher up on the 'totem pole' (per say). I guess in some ways I'm an elitist snob and I need wealth and success to solidify my elitism and feeling of self-worth.

There is nothing wrong with wanting money however just like making money, with dating you have to work at it. Learn and practice, before you can do it successfully. And trust me, you have time to do both.

Yes my story could have been composed better. I know this forum is geared towards men I joined because I have passion for menswear. I was a late bloomer and lost my virginity later then most women. I am empathetic towards late bloomers and how society views them. For example if you a female in your mid 20s who is a virgin people either think you are homely, super religious or think the world works like a romance novel. I am not homely when I lived in Chicago my roommate and I had $15 bar tabs because men would buy us drinks with out even asking so I have an idea of how the game is played. I was hoping to shed some light on what motivates women.

I was sort of implying that maybe if making a ton of money and buying a lot of things wasn't priority #1 to him, he'd be a little more interesting and actually have something in his life besides the gym and his job (for instance, a relationship).

You make the bed you sleep in, you know?

Gold diggers tend to ask them self out. wink.gif

I know what you mean, but if he want money or everything else, why not.

I think the OP has a false sense of who he really is. He is obviously not happy with his current state and fills that maybe a relationship would fulfill that -- not going to happen. He wants to make lots of money because he thinks that women will come easier, which they will, but it will still take some work. His main problem is lack of consistency on what he really wants. If you want to bone a chick, get into a relationship, get married.. You’re going to have to sacrifice yourself, go out, and spend money. You're going to have to get out of that pitiful shell. Easy? Fuck no. But, you have to DO IT. Jesus, I read the entire damn thread and had to create and account just write this---> Stop bitching about it, and do it.

OP really just doesn't care that much, in spite of his bitching. If he did care enough then he'd actually do something about his predicament.

Learned helplessness?

Yeah, girls that don't care for him as a person and will use him. Then we are going to have a "I am depressed thread". OP I would advise you not to pay attention to these money seeking beeches, they aren't worth you time. If you live the models and bottles lifestyle, then do your thing, but I think you are looking for a relationship or at least a meaningful experience.

Some of the beeches just come up to you asking for rent. It's happened to me and I am not anywhere near my definition of rich.
