The 27 Year Old Virgin - Page 14

Still a virgin, but I decided to give online dating on POF another shot. Well, over the past two week, I've sent out over 100+ messages and have received 

perhaps two responses. Haven't had any women message me, though a few fatties have glanced at my profile. Now, I'm flattered when anyone shows interest, 

but given that I stay in shape and am a health/fitness nut, I just can't do fatties. Gotta draw a line in the sand somewhere.

 

In any case, online dating has been a completely failure. I don't think online dating is ideal for me as women will look at my picture and think i'm a terrorist and they'll 

also not choose to respond because I'm a manlet (5"4). So I'm going to have to meet women in real life and think I'll start going to some meetup groups.

 

I'll keep you guys updated until I have something I'm happy with, either losing my virginity or a relationship which could lead to me losing my virginity.

 

PS: I'm also contemplating doing a speed dating event this weekend. The issue is that it's geared towards people 25 - 39 (i'm 26), so I assume it will be mostly 30 year old's, and I don't if that may just cause it to be a waste of time.

It's not a waste of time since you'll get some experience chatting up some ladies.  Sounds more like you're making an excuse for yourself so you don't have to do it, just go!

Bro.... go out to a bar and approach women you think are good looking. Stop making excuses and man the fuck up. You ARE enough for any girl out there. Just have some confidence.

Developing an important but underutilized skillset, in this case talking to strangers of the opposite sex, is never a waste of time.

Honestly, I could care less about that. If I was in even one meaningful relationship, that's enough, and I could die a happy man. It's not so much about the sex, but more about being less lonely and having meaningful relationships with people of the opposite sex.

It's probably my 10th attempt at online dating. In the past, I've been on POF, OKC, and other sites for months. Then after giving up, I gave each another shot, and the cycle continues. Just no luck with online dating for me. And I do believe that women think I'm a terrorist or something. I messaged one lady on POF and she responded by asking me if I was muslim. And when I said I wasn't, she said she wasn't comfortable with talking to or dating people from that "part of the world." I don't use ethnicity as an excuse, but in the online dating world, I seriously think that's why I have no success.
