Featuring well designed blocks and stunning homes, Calypso Bay offers a choice of golf course, deep waterfront or lush garden outlooks. Whether your choice is enjoying the abundant water-sport options including sailing, fishing, swimming or more, or making the most of our innovative dual-tee design 9 hole golf course which offers all of the challenges of an 18 hole round, or simply relaxing as you watch pelicans, sea eagles and dolphins go past your front door, Calypso Bay is your opportunity for an idyllic lifestyle.
You’ll find Calypso Bay located around 45 minutes from Brisbane city, the state’s burgeoning capital, 55 minutes from Brisbane International Airport and only 30 minutes from the world-famous Gold Coast beach-side central business district and endless beaches.

It is a secure community and is serviced by the Marina Village, which offers facilities to meet most of your needs, with plans for a supermarket, convenience store and speciality shops as well as cafes and other dining and entertaining options. The planned marina will also offer 250 berths for vessels up to 30 metres in length.

I remember when Calypso Bay was just a dark spot on the side of the road where you stop off and pee on your way back up to the city. :(

Jacobs Well used to be a great fishing spot. Haven't been there for over 20 years.

Sorry to necro bump a topic, especially a spam post haha.

Anything fun to do over here? On a working holiday visa from Canada and it looks like I'll be over here for a bit -- hopefully finding some kind of job. Not too interested in the club scene -- heard some people talking about Fortitude Valley, worth the trip over? Staying in the conservative business dress right now.

And if anyone needs a hard working Canadian (ha) for any kind of work let me know, preferably as an escort for lonely middle aged Australian women --- but I am not that picky...

You can walk from the C.B.D. to The Valley.

Tell me what kinds of things you're into and I might be able to give some advice.

+1. The Valley is only a short walk away, as is South Brisbane. Some reasonable pubs, bars and restaurants at both locations.
