Pantofola d'oro

Recent mention of the Pantofola d'Oro shoes made me check out their website. Their leisure shoes from the 50's collection are very cool. Where can I get them, preferably at a discount. Yoox has a couple of styles but I don't wear a size 7. Any more suggestions for cool antiqued leather trainers? I'm tired of wearing my boring Paraboot shoes with jeans. (dang, I sound like woman :-)

Hello Andrew, the two most recent places I have seen Pantofola are Otto Tootsi Plohound in New York and Barneys.  I haven't been in Otto Tootsi recently to know if they're still carrying them.  I know there are a sampling of the brown ones at the  Barneys warehouse sale.   Tell you what I'll do, I'm willing to cross the street today to see if Otto is selling them still.  Otherwise, perhaps you could work out an arrangement with someone you know in NYC to stop by the Turkish bathhouse that is this year's Barneys warehouse sale to see if they have your size.  They do Euro sizes, so about the same as the U last Vass.   Edit: they are not presently being sold at Otto Toosi.

They are sold at several Japanese Department stores in Shinjuku Tokyo. I have tried them on 3 different times. They were discounted 30% at the New Year's sale at Isetan. Prices seem to have come down to Y35,000-Y55,000, depeding on the model. Not much help, I know.... Bic
