Yes, it seriously is (at least for his business shots, not his personal shots). He's obsessed with incredibly narrow DOF and bokeh. Looking at his tie listings is like shopping while squinting through a slit. Just to be fair, I posted such in his thread and he mostly agreed. I don't know if he's corrected it - I got tired of looking at his listings and getting headaches trying to unblur 90% of the pic in my mind to get a feel for what it really looked like when worn. Note to sellers: when just browsing your pics becomes work, you've lost me.
To bring this back around, Spoo looking to Malford's as examples worth emulating is a step in the right direction. And, yes, he needs to work on proper use of fundamentals first - no amount of PS is going to correct his DOF obsession, for example.
