Maybe lapels the width of the USS John C Stennis shouldn't look good on certain body frames.

Because something in between is impossible.

I don't think anyone would call your lapels "moderate" or "in between." They're similar width to the lapels of the Polo Garrison, which are almost universally called "wide."

Granted, mine are not skinny or even medium. But they are also not extreme, and they suit my head size and the shape of my body. The extremes almost never make sense on anyone.

Here's a "skinny" lapel in my opinion:

Yes, that is definitely a skinny lapel. I typically shoot for about halfway to the shoulder as the not too wide not too skinny happy medium. By that rule, TB's lapels are on the skinny side, but I don't think they'd officially qualify as "skinny lapels" as might be described in ad copy or something.

I'm hesitant to critique fits because I suspect amateur photography exaggerates flaws that are not noticed in real life.
This looks pretty good to me.
I suspect the ripples in the arms and back are less noticeable then the camera implies. Clothes are meant to be lived in, not modeled.

I wonder if you might benefit from a softer shoulder and moving the shoulder seam in a bit.

I echo the others, the back seems to hang on your rump. Maybe ease the waist a bit would fix that.

As others have mentioned, Mafoofan has a very good eye for these things.
