i bought one, the answer sadly is no.

the sizing is not like most designer articles today, its a fairly loose fit, the arm holes are lower than what would appear to be fasion foward today

while the denim quality appears to be good (don't ask me about washes and weights i don't know what the hell those mean)
the styling seems to be dated

i should have known seeing the (produced in 1998) label but meh. was only a $50 total gamble, im going to be trading it at a local consignment shop that deals with vintage clothes here and hopefully pick up a few recent american eagle shirts to wear around when bbq'ing with the fam

picked one up too, echo your statements really. although mines marked as an M the actual size given by the wash tag is 52, not sure what that's about. actually fits pretty well around the shoulders/waist, just massive armholes like you say. if i see a 48 will pick it up for sure to see if its any better, quite like the style apart from the arms and the quality is decent.

no we have 2 answers to warn people in the future, someone on another forum said the sizing issue (medium label but 52 inch chest) was pre-dior homme existance.

apparently after dior homme everyone got the slim it down bug in the early 00's
so much so that a 52 chest is now an XL or L
