Listings look good. Just remember to never delete pictures or prices after a sale is completed. You can close the listing but don't delete it.

That I understand

but can I in the information field remove the price and put SOLD once the item is sold?

You can't remove the price when its sold. You just put sold and leave the price.

Excellent observation. His fines parallel to that of the national debt of Greece.

Some of the questions in this thread remind me how much fun the animation action of the Huddler spoiler tag can be.

Check it out...click down, click up:

It's a very versatile tag. It was about time that it was showcased in a thread like this.

What if it is bought on lay-a-way? I assume that the seller incrementally posts each payment amount every month.

Correct. Information is not to be deleted at all, even after sold and even after listing is closed. Using spoiler tags is a versitle way to clean up thread appearance, but that's the extent of what you can do. That, or add more info or items.

Now I have a question. If I am using a 3rd party program to host images and if I delete said images on the hosting site which I have linked onto here, is that a violation? Of course the only time I would remove pictures from 3rd party is after a sale is completed but I would not touch the closed listing or edit the closed listing here on SF.

I read most of the posts in this thread and have a simple question. I have sold a few things on the forum and deleted the prices after they were sold. I won't do that anymore, but should I go back and edit all those (now closed) listings or is it ok to leave them as is?

We can definitely see if anything has been edited. Sure, you can get away with it. But this is Styleforum, where there is no statute of limitations. If you break a rule now, and 3 months, or a year, down the road, I see the rule violation, you will get dinged for a year old violation, no questions asked. Everything is retroactive to today. So, if you've edited something, edit it back. I can see what you've edited, and how. Restores pictures, etc...
