We don't have the resources for this. In any case, we've done this, and then people have come back and whined that half an hour, or an hour, or a day, wasn't enough notice. The TOS for B&S state that you will read and abide by the rules, and the fact that you will be summarily barred from B&S if you are not in compliance could not be stated more clearly, unless we actually had a huge pop up that took over your screen. If you can't be bothered, we can't be bothered. Unfortunately, it's come to that.

I hear you. Fair point.

This. I understand that many people feel that paypal fees are too high. I'm not here to argue about that. I'm asking that you don't use Styleforum in any way that could get us into legal trouble. Also, no one is compelling any one to use Paypal. If you really feel strongly about it, insist on some other form of payment. BTW, the rules are for you protection as well. If you ask for a personal payment, and a buyer refuses, and you insist, or if he refuses to pay a surcharge, and you insist, all he would have to do is to email paypal, and your account would be locked and all the money in it held.

LA guy, is it okay to write payment via paypal. Or shall ''paypal'' not even be in the text?

Of course it's okay to state what forms of payment you will accept.

I just don't want you guys getting us into trouble, or yourselves, for that matter. Just best practices.

Yeah, that's fine, but it would be great to at least leave the article name outside the spoiler, as a courtesy to other members. As long as the stuff appears in the title, it's still searchable. Our aim is not to make like difficult, but to make the database more useful.

Thanks, wanted to be on the safe side. But it's not really hard to understand the rules? I don see how people can get banned...

I think that all responses in this thread should just be "Got it, Fok, will do". Not "Why don't we....", or "Can you....."

Dont piss off the opposite Santa.

Incidentally, every single person on the forum should add me to their "follow" list. Because you really don't want to get smacked for some infraction just because you were not paying attention.

You lost me on that one, boss.

Just banned 4 more people. That was from the first 50 listings that I checked. That's nearly 10% of listings, and over 10% of sellers. Are you guys fucking kidding me? Do people really not bother reading the rules at all? I just gave a 12 hour warning... Really, people, really? And yes, I will be publishing the list of barred users shortly.
