Exactly. While I hope this thread will provide general info and appreciation for MOTO and MOTOR, that very thought----demonstrating the demand for more and larger sizes----is indeed a significant part of the motivation behind this thread.

So, if you are interested in MOTO or MOTOR boots and shoes, but would like to see larger sizes, please make your voice heard here. And, who knows, maybe there is even a chance for a group MTO, including a run of larger sizes.......

Yes, indeed, I imagine that a lot of people outside Japan have considered MOTO boots and shoes, but simply given up due to the limited sizes.

And, yes again, there is a (somewhat limited) supply of MOTO boots available on Rakuten. Just as an example, I'm quite interested in their camel leather boots. The only pair I could find on Rakuten were these, and they are no longer in stock:

The white camel boots, as well as the dark brown and white camel chukkas they have at the MOTO store seem to be unavailable on Rakuten. Also, I have yet to find any MOTOR boots on Rakuten.

Cancel that. There is one store on Rakuten that has that same camel boot in stock, but only size 1 and 2.

Took a trip to MOTOR today. Wonderful shop, and wonderfully friendly people. If you're ever in Tokyo, highly recommended it. Make sure you know where you're going. Make sure you've got a map.

Learned that the R in MOTOR stands for getting back to the Roots of what MOTO is all about: fine artisanal craftsmanship. The elder brother of the Motoike family told me that MOTOR is about rejuvenation, about breathing some creative juice back into the craftsmanship they've been passionately pursuing now for decades. If MOTO is a renown brand standing tall in the world of fine leatherwork, then MOTOR is about keeping these innovators on their toes, a space and product line for branching out with rediscovered Roots.
