The medallion loafers look great! Did you get those trees in Japan?

Thanks! I think I picked those trees up at Tokyu Hands a while ago. I forget - I got some there, and some from Amazon in the US.

Curse my oversized feet!

Thanks, I'm really enjoying them. The pics might not be clear on this, but they are not actually cap toes - they're whole cut loafers. Either way, they're very comfortable.

Ah, yes, not a cap toe, but still really awesome!  Maybe I can have surgery to reduce the size of my feet  .  .  .

Has anyone confirmed what US size their size 3 translates to?

It appears to fluctuate with the shoe or boot. The goodyear welted shoes and boots seem to run larger. And the size 3 appears to be somewhere around a 10.5d on the goodyear welted shoes and boots. Check out some of Kram6136's previous posts.

The article is in Japanese, but here's an interview with the MOTO brothers: http://www.beams.co.jp/andmore/interview/moto.html

Apparently, Beams+ in Harajuku is going to feature MOTO items instore from August 3 ~ 12. Drop by if you're in Tokyo!

^^ Yes, they are excellent. I'm very happy with my white camel chukkas, and could certainly see myself acquiring the brown camel lace up boots at some point.

I've been patiently waiting for a chance to visit MOTO.  Still optimistic that they may have something that fits me.

Thanks for the tip. Have you been by to check this out yet?

And, yes indeed, the camel lace-ups are awesome.

I'm sure MOTO will have something. Maybe not your first choice, but something. MOTOR, on the other hand, appears to be more limited in their size range. No engineer boots for you.....

No engineer boots?  Maybe I should call it off  .  .  .  nah!  Who am I kidding.  I'll take what I can get.

Yes, I stopped by this afternoon. They have a nice selection out, taking up most of the front of the store: shoes, boots, bags, wallets, accessories, caps, etc. Very cool! There was also a really wonderful leather jacket, but I'm not sure if it was for sale or not. (It may have been on display as part of the "vibe", as were quite a few of the leather artworks.) I may go back and ask about it.

Tomorrow's the last day (Sunday, August 12) for the MOTO exhibit at Harajuku's Beams+ shop, if you're in town and interested. They have a nice selection, and information on custom orders for certain items like wallets. If you're heading in for a look, a meet-up for a beer afterwards is possible...

How about custom orders for large size shoes?????

I'm going to try and make it in tomorrow, but not sure yet if that plan is gonna pan out.
