Tokyo visit

Hi guys,

I'm planning a long trip to Japan this summer and, as part of it, I have scheduled one full day of shopping in Tokyo. Now, people have recommended the Superfuture Guide but, before I get that, where do you think I should go?

Visvim is an obvious pick and I'll probably make a stop at Tomorrowland and United Arrows, which are the most intriguing Japanese stores after that?

I think I know most of the well-known ones so bonus points if you can highlight something which is still not really on the radar.

Aesthetically, I have pretty broad tastes, so don't worry too much about that.

Tomorrowland and United Arrows aren't even close to being must-stops. What do you want to buy, first off? What is your style?

My "style" can vary a lot day to day. I can be visvim one day, Piombo the next, Rick Owens the third.

That's why I mentioned "broad tastes". Visvim is probablym my favourite brand so I'll end up there for sure but I thought United Arrows (if not for the Camoshita line) and Tomorrowland (which gets a lot of hype abroad) were also worth a visit?

cbf to look at your blog, but start at Isetan department store and browse their goods, they have seemingly everything, including a small Visvim shop. From there I would go to the Beams stores in Harajuku, then go down the backstreets of Harajuku and Omotesando. You can find anything from Lad Musician to White Mountaineering back there.

Mansion of Owls, 1LDK, Lift Ecru, these are little boutiques worth checking out in other neighborhoods as well.

What places in Tokyo would you recommend if I want to get some nice jeans? Slim fit (not skinny tight), dark, selvedge and all that. Also any places I should check out if I'm interested in things like classic (or even fashion forward) menswear and watches, but don't have several grand to drop on single items? Meaning more on the side of what places like T.M. Lewin and Charles Tyrwhitt charge. What about thrift stores? Is there any chance of finding something that fits for a 184 cm tall fellow over there?
