On Suitsupply, my understanding is that they have functional buttonholes by default, so if you're at all thinking about having the sleeves tailored, it'll be massively expensive.

In other words, make sure to check the sleeves to see if they're functional or not. If yes, realize that a tailor can't really do it without costing you an arm and a leg.

Would it still be expensive to alter if I tell the tailor to just leave the buttons non-working or would it be the same as leaving them working?

 

Also, someone suggested http://www.clubmonaco.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12473662 (I'll probably get navy) or http://www.hickeyfreeman.com/boys/boys-grey-suit/. Would any of those be better than the SS?

This is no problem so long as the sleeves are not being adjusted more than 1/2" in either direction.
