Overcoming plateaus

Thread Starter
I work out six times a week, half free weights (upper body only) and half cardio.  I cycle creatine and Xenadrine and consume whey protein.  Although I have made steady gains, I seem to have plateaued at 170 pounds (I am 5'10").  I would like to add 5-10 more pounds of lean muscle.  Any suggestions on how to accomplish this (supplements, diet, certain exercises, etc.) would be most appreciated, preferably not involving using Andro or eating 6 chicken breasts a day.

Your body has gotten use to your workouts. Whenever I hit a plateau, I go back to square one. Go back to using the basic exercises (bench press, squats, straight bar curls, etc.) but, use high weight low reps for a while (4-6 reps). Try that for about 2 weeks. Then, for two weeks, use low weight high reps (12 - 15 reps). Then go back to your normal workout.
