Recently I was fortunate enough to win a contest held by Zam Barrett icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif.
WINNING! (Click to show)

The prize was one of his new one-shoulder sling bags, and it's really beautiful so I thought I'd share. Color is blackish with lots of undertones of green, brown, etc. Thick, soft, substantial leather. It's lined in heavy cotton and has an exterior pocket and one inside. Antiqued hardware, RiRi zippers, etc. Enjoy:

Big thanks to Zam!

thats was you... cool stuff, when did zam have this contest? was it in person only?

Oh it was you..it was held a fortnight ago. Lucky guy. I believe art voted maroon. You changed your choice? Most of them wanted the plain old black version. Maroon would have been cool. Nice of Zam to have sucha giveaway.

Honestly I just took the one he had conditioned and ready haha. The colors are subtle in real life, all pretty similar actually with different undertones.
haha. Either way it goes well with your outfit and the style aesthetic you subscribe to.

Do the different model pants have different rises? I'm looking for a pair that sits at the hips. Thoughts on most comfortable vs hard-wearing fabrics?

i think it differs per model, i can measure the rise of my DNA jeans if you like...

try emailing zam at dialogue@zambarrett.com

Did anyone pick up the minimalist slim pants in moleskin in a sz48 and would be open to selling?

Zam has never scammed anybody, relax. It's a small operation. Yes he's busy, yes he could use more people to ship/answer emails. None of that makes him or his business 'not very honest'. Coming to a public forum to write things like that is pretty distasteful.

Yet he still got a lot of time to browse forums. I don't say he is a scammer. Just a little disappointed how he operates.

Zam always chats with me extensively and I actually just placed an order for a couple pants, scarf and hoodie. He's always accomodating imo and has went over the top to do me favors in regards to fit.

There's no way he's going to scam you. His entire business practically rides on his reputation at SZ. Chill out, judging by your posting on here, I could see your emails potentially coming across as rude.

My order is supposed to be shipping out next week. His shipping manager doesn't work Fridays. So give it until then and if you haven't heard something by then, let me know.

Still don't see what that has to do with anything.

It's probably already shipped out... I bought some scarves from him last thursday. Never got confirmation about shipping or anything and the package arrived on tuesday. That's New York to Montreal in 3 business days. Just wait it out and it'll get there eventually.

Not really satisfield with the customer service so far. I think it is reasonable to expect the seller to ship the item within 24-48 hours. If they take longer I would expect an e-mail stating such. It has been over a week since I paid, but he has not yet sent the shipment confirmation, even though he promised to do so few days ago.

It's completely understandable that Zam is busy. However no one should be too busy for a good customer service. Ignoring emails and private messages is not how should operate in my opinion.

God damn, sites like Yoox and Mr. Porter have given people totally unreasonable expectations and a completely inflated sense of ego.
