So you are actually that dense to tip $4 on a $20 pizza, and $2 on a $10 pizza?

Hey guys...chill out.

You do realize that you are debating the notion of "tipping", right? And you are two strangers that are debating this on an internet forum, right?

Count to ten...exhale..

no. pizza guys generally get 2 or 3 dollars, regardless of the price of the pizza. it is not a percentage. you've made it painfully obvious that you don't have a clue and your objections are without merit.

Tipping promotes a sense of equality. You were my servant, I appreciate that. Here let me buy you a drink. We are equals--cheers.

People who do not tip are aristocratic snobs or would-be aristocratic snobs.

This is why tipping is All-American. And this is why the amount that you tip is not nearly as important as the fact that you tip.

Yep, and that pretty much sums up Bouji's increasingly tiresome gimmick here.

That is a ridiculous assertion.

I think the original scenario included tipping before delivery as an option. If the delivery/service sucks, what do you do? Complain to the CC company and want your $2 back?

Two dollars? What could be screwed up so badly that you want $2.00 back? It's just a delivery. Guy rings the doorbell and gives her the flowers. You're paying a delivery guy for simply peforming the function, not for providing a "level of service" per se. It's not like a restaurant situation where your tipping reflects specific expectations about the level of service you receive over the course of a meal.

Flowers are a package, no different than a UPS package or US Mail. You don't tip either of those people? Thus, you do not tip a flower delivery person.

I win.

Unlike UPS and USPS, flower jockeys aren't unionized.

I win.
