Anyone got real world data on sizing on the trench boot with regard to Alden Barrie, Wolverine 1000 Mile, etc?
I can go 11 in Barrie and went 12 in the trench boot. I'd say my true size is a 12, running shoes are 12.5. Not sure why I can go down to an 11 for Barrie when most only go a half down. Bannock measures 12.

So kudos to Oak Street for making a boot that actually fits TTS, not sure why everyone else seems to have to screw that up.

Just received my trench boots today, leather sole with cap toe.

They are true to size. I wear 8.5D Tru-Balance (Alden Roys), 9 in the trench boots.

Context seems to have a black Trench Boot, if anyone was interested.

Also am interested in the plain toe boot to be released soon. Have to look for some more pics...

To report back, I've been very happy with my crepe sole beefrolls from Oakstreet, except for one key point, namely that they're too large.

The crepe soles are impressively comfortable and have great grip on wet surfaces. The brown CXL leather looks and feels great. The observable quality of the finishing is great. My feet do slip around a little on the leather insole, but that's mostly an outcome of the shoes being too large, which was not Oakstreet's fault (rather the fault of some bad advice on my alden sizing...). Am selling the shoes and thinking about buying them again, this time in the correct size, when I can figure out what that is.

Was interested in the trench boot, but for now will wait for it in brown.

I can't get my mind off the Trench boot. Per the website, most sizes are available for pre order. Is the 6 week shipping estimate accurate? Can you be any more specific? I ask only because I'm trying to determine where to ship and/or when to order based on upcoming travel schedule. I'll be spending weeks at a time away from home. Thanks in advance for any help. The boot turned out great!

Yes, most sizes are pre-order only. The six weeks is generally accurate - but note, 6 weeks means pre-order (not that they'll be on the website again in 6 weeks). We are trying so incredibly hard to catch up with the demand - but as you know, the shoes are crafted by hand, a process that can't be rushed. I would recommend placing the order, and then email us and let us know that you would like us to email you before we ship so that you can let us know the best address to use. We're a small shop, so accommodating customers is something that we take pride in =)

George,

How long does it take one pair to be made from start to finish?

We never really make 1 shoe without other shoes along with it. It does take us about 6 weeks - from the start - hand selecting the hide and cutting, to finish
.

Will the trench boot be available in a shoe version at any point? Please say yes... not that big on boots anymore.
