I just wanted to let folks know I'm selling a pair of brown vibram sole trail oxfords that have seen minimal wear-I wear my camp boots more. Take a look at my signature.

I've tried to sort through most of this thread, but I haven't found the answer to my pressing question.  I'm one of those people that has to touch, and in this case, try-on a purchase before pulling the trigger.  I live in Brooklyn, NY and was wondering where am I most likely able to find a store that carries the brown and navy hunt boots in sizes 9.5 and 10.  Any suggestions?  I seem to find stores that have one of the colors (mostly navy), but not in my size.

Thanks,

E

Did you end up going? I stopped by for a few minutes... great pop-up, but felt like a little weird. Almost felt like everyone there was dressed the same....

Sure did go.  I know what you mean - I felt like I was the only person not wearing raw denim, but I still had a good time.  Bought a few things, and the chicken sandwiches by the front door were super good.  I'd definitely go again.

Thanks,

We just opened a shop in shop inside Dunderdon in SoHo - so they have the COMPLETE oak street line (aside from boat shoes, because, well - it's fall/winter) =)

They have just about every size in every color

guys that did 1/2 down, are you guys able to stretch your trail oxfords even more when wearing thicker socks?

Any plan to restock the Trail Oxford in Natural on the Independence site? I want a size 10 and don't think the 10.5 will do it for me, love the Natural CXL wish there were more options with it.

So for the Vibram Trail oxford...

I want my toes to fit comfortably and width on the CXL stretchs a good amount? In brands like Allen Edmonds I often go  with EEE, but with Oak Street - I'll just a single E, under the assumption that itll really be a good stretch. I also know that the AE shoes I have are usually a more structured shoe...

Also - should I put shoe trees in my CXL shoes? Will they stretch too much?

I wear a 10E in park ave and I feel that going with a 9D width penny loafer was a bad choice.  My loafer fits fine now, but the break in was brutal, I might get the forefoot area stretched a bit if it doesn't loosen up more...  My next pair will certainly be 9E.  Perhaps the lace up design of the oxfords makes the sizing a little easier.  I definitely wouldn't go down two widths though, maybe if you don't size down in length, but then it will probably be too long.

just my thoughts... it would probably be better to try on a pair and see what you think.

you want to size down a 1/2 for penny loafers vs ranger moc. so a 10e in park avenue would be a 10d in ranger moc since hand sewn and unlined and 9 1/2 in loafer.

Rancourt 12 D
Red Wing Wabasha 11.5E (Jcrew Version) Hand sewn by Rancourt

So pretty much same size in oak street as in rancourt?

I was able to try on my rancourts before ordering.
I actually went 1/2 size up from Allen edmonds size and an.E width vs EEE width for Allen Edmonds.
So I'd probably do the same for oak street?

9E was recommended to me based on my other sizes.  I thought I could make a 9D work and I did for the most part.  A 9.5 would be too long for me unless wearing some massive socks.  On the other hand, my heels already slip some, so I can only imagine that would increase with a wider shoe.

I'm just saying i wouldn't size down two widths.
