There 'might' be captoes - still working on them. We're so impressed with the plain toes!

Thank you! I love hearing about closets becoming over-run with Oak Street collections =) Pricing isn't solidified yet, but the plan is to come in competitively against Alden

Are Oak Street's beefroll loafers the kind of shoes that can be re-soled multiple times and will have a long life-span?
If I go down a half size from the (still a little roomy) barrie lasted alden PTB's that I own, then I'd order the loafers in 7.5. If that size ends up being incorrect, am I right that I'm out shipping charges for the exchange? Am in the Philly area, but haven't noticed a store name mentioned on here where I could go and try these on in person. Will it really be a full 6 weeks if I order the shoes today? That seems like a long time to wait.... well, for anything other than rare cordovan makeups from Alden... Could the timeline on the website be a bit dated?
Thanks in advance for the help. Am hoping that these are the properly fitting, comfy, durable, handsome, casual shoes that I've been wanting.
Hey Plato! The crepe will last longer than a leather sole shoe, and will be better on slippery floors as well. For casual use and errands however I would suggest the vibram trail oxfords which will hold out longer and are better in wet conditions. All of our shoes can be re-soled countless times giving you a shoe that will last for years to come. Our refurb program really bring them back to life as well.
For sizing, go down half from barrie last, and in vibram trail oxfords go with your barrie size. If they do not fit you, you of course can return or exchange - just make sure they are in new condition. We cover the shipping on the exchange pair that we send out AND we cover the intial pair shipping for StyleForum members.
No philly store. As for the wait compared to Alden, our shoes are made in a much slower, more hand made process than Alden - and it does take us about 6 weeks to handcraft each pair. With that said, we usually have pairs in process so that the wait can be less than 6 weeks, but it is first come first served - meaning, you'll get your shoes much quicker if you pre-order rather than wait for your size to appear on the website.
Let me know if you have any additional questions
Thank you so much!
