Is this one of the new boots coming from Oakstreet? I like the shape a lot.

I definitely want a pair of those, will there be a cap toe version available as an option as well?

Wow definitely will have to buy those, they will be my fourth oak purchase... Any ideas about pricing yet?

Those look great, as do the boots you have been breaking in. What denim are you wearing in this picture?

I'm wearing LVC 1967 505's in both pictures.

We don't carry the 1967 at Independence anymore because they recently stopped making it in the U.S., but we do carry the 1947 and 1954.  Because of this post, we're offering 15% off both styles right now until Friday for StyleForum members only.  If you are interested you can call us at 312.675.2105 or email us at info@independence-chicago.com and mention this thread!

Hello. Just read this whole thread, and want to ask a few questions. I'm interested in these shoes:

http://oakstreetbootmakers.com/footwear/brown-beefroll-crepe-sole-penny-loafer

Does the crepe sole handle wet, slippery floors well? I'm thinking both wet fall/spring sidewalks as well as wet kitchen floors. I would want the shoes for casual use around the house or for errands. In the wet my sperry boat shoes are a hazard. How durable is the crepe sole? Will it wear out faster than, say, a beefroll loafer with the plain leather sole? Is the crepe really that comfortable? Are Oak Street's beefroll loafers the kind of shoes that can be re-soled multiple times and will have a long life-span?

If I go down a half size from the (still a little roomy) barrie lasted alden PTB's that I own, then I'd order the loafers in 7.5. If that size ends up being incorrect, am I right that I'm out shipping charges for the exchange? Am in the Philly area, but haven't noticed a store name mentioned on here where I could go and try these on in person. Will it really be a full 6 weeks if I order the shoes today? That seems like a long time to wait.... well, for anything other than rare cordovan makeups from Alden... Could the timeline on the website be a bit dated?

Thanks in advance for the help. Am hoping that these are the properly fitting, comfy, durable, handsome, casual shoes that I've been wanting.

i was going to suggest lands end canvas, but i just checked and the smallest size they have is an 8.  They do normally have free shipping and returns though.
