Hi can you provide some details of the recrafting/resoling process. Ie what is done and cost?

I have a pair of vibram Sole Trail Oxfords which I love but the sole wearing out.

Hey Tedbearz,
We offer a complete refurbishment program for all our customers. The refurbishment costs $92 and includes new outsoles, new insoles, new laces, a re-last service, and a thorough cleaning and hand polishing. Essentially everything required to get the shoes looking as best they can!

Aside from the new soles/heels, the most important part truly is the re-lasting - a step that so many companies skip! Relasting allows the shoes to regain as much of their original shape as possible.

I understand from an aesthetic standpoint that re-lasting helps the shoes look as good as new. However, with the new insole, outsole, and relasting does one have to break in their comfortable shoe all over again?

I certainly wouldn't say you need to re-break in your comfy shoes again - the leather will still be just as soft and supple as the day you sent them back to us - we'll just re-shape them so that they're 'looking' as new as we can get them - but keep them 'feeling' like old friends =)

We have had some people request that we leave their insoles in, which we have accommodated - we want you wearing and loving your Oak Streets for as long as possible!

Is this the same as the Brown Vibram Sole Trail Oxford, seen here in this link?

Also, I am torn between the brown and the navy.

Any suggestions?
