CXL stretches for sure, but probably not much in the toe box...

Natural CXL and a leather Dainite sole is what we talked about. After I check the fit George and I will talk about it again. There's a couple of Vibram sole options that I'll be discussing with him for sure.

As much as I love Dainite (have one boot on a Dainite-esque sole and another Dainite-soled boot on the way), I think discussing Vibram options is a great idea. Dainite is a nice balance, but it's best suited for cities and moderate conditions, not what you'll be putting them through

Love natural cxl though. That's going to look wonderful

That's the catch. The vast majority of the time they'll see light to moderate conditions so the Dainite sole would be just fine. If George says he can do one of the Vibram soles I have in mind then I'm going to overbuild them no question about it.

Hope you guys get those shells soon! Don't think I'd be able to wait that long haha

That captoe really changes the appearance of the boot. For the better, IMO, since it makes the tip look pointier.

Yah and I just like captoes haha. My other two are captoes besides the roughouts. Gave my brown cxls to my bro

Well if it can be done I think I would go with the venerable Vibram 1249 lug sole on my custom OSBs.

George contacted me a little while ago and told me he has a sole that just might be what I'm after. Yeah baby, my custom super duty Trench HDs are in the works. LOL! Sounds like a Dodge truck commercial. ROFLMAO!

Looking forward to it!

Wore roughouts today:

In hindsight with my waxed trenches, I wish I went with dainite sole or commando sole. Maybe I'll try to request it when it needs to get resoled.

Could anyone quickly tell me what size I should grab in the suede hunt boot?

I typically wear a 12 (Nike etc) with the occasional 11.5 (vans, cole haan). I only own one pair of boots (mcnairy) which are an 11.

I know I'm sure this has been covered but if somebody could save me the time of searching It'd be greatly appreciated.

I wish the natural shell would have had dainite sole option but at least it's on a double oiled leather sole rather than a single leather sole.

This is how you do it if you want the least amount of trouble getting the right size.

It's impossible to give good advice without you having been Brannock measured, but an 11 or 10.5 would work
