I ordered the roughout trenches (size 13) on November 29th, (Thanksgiving weekend, btw) and just got shipping confirmation today... That's pretty damn good service in my opinion. I have the natty CXL trenches, and they are some of the best boots I own. Ordered those 11/1/13, got them 3 weeks later.

Received two new pairs of oak streets this week: rough out trenches and crepe sole loafers. Blown away by both, in particular the trench boots are just perfect. That's 3/3 for me, It's going to be hard to buy any other shoes now.

I really like the natty trenches with vibram soles, the roughouts on dainite, the browns on leather, and the hunt boots in pictures, although I'm not sure how I like them in actual outfits.

is there anyway I could custom order a different leather sole for the black trenches to get a pair to look like this:

?

anyway, I just thought I'd subscribe to this thread.

What's the sole in that pic? Leather?

Noticed some other guys getting their rougououts in. A while back it was stated they came with both sets of laces did anyone get two, mine only came with the leather.

Exactly.  Unless we're talking about wooden clogs here, the soles are not/never wood.

What are guys, some kind of experts on wood?

Those black shell trenches on that Instragram video are fucking delicious sdfsdmjkdv

I only say they might be wood because I recently saw a very similar pair that apparently did have a wood sole.

Here, I actually found the company http://www.jose-markham.com/the-union-black.html

aaand the guy who owns them and said they're wood is probably just stupid, it says right there that they're made of rubber.

Hmm. Would be interested in your opinions on a custom order I thought up.

Black trench boot, vibram wedge sole, and the eyelets from the brown trench boot, or any silver eyelets they can get their hands on.
