If you're asking, I think the cap toe really sets them apart. In the best way.

Go with the cap toe and then get the nat CXL in a plain toe! Or the roughout in a plain toe.

There's supposed to be a special make-up dropping today at Independence.

Stopped by Independence today and got a shot of the exclusives that came out today! Pretty sure you can pick them up on their website too.

Any chance they had Trenches with a commando sole?

I didn't see any with a commando, but they had all the Trench Boot models besides rough out  and black.

From what I remember, those commando sole trench boots were made specifically for the pop up flea but I'm sure you can ask for custom trench boot with commando sole! Otherwise who knows, maybe they'll put them up on the website.

That's my hope!  I'd love to see a photo of them, because while I know what a trench boot looks like and I know what a commando sole looks like, I want to see how the two mesh together.  Also, avoiding the upcharge for the custom order would be pretty cool, too.

Anyone that ordered internationally. Will the guys mark the package as some small value amount so we do not to get robbed on import duty and vat? I think i'm looking at another $150 on the price which I don't think I can live with.

Seeing as that's illegal and serves no benefit to the seller, I'd assume not.

The benefit is they sell a pair of boots that would otherwise not be sold, lots of places do it...  like I'm paying $56 in shipping alone. In the end I have to pay over $200 more than someone who can just walk into the store.

And package gets lost? Will you enjoy not getting any boots as insurance wouldn't cover the cost? They aren't struggling to sell boots
post #2098 of 3002

I'd probably take my chances with the boots being lost... I didn't say they were struggling, I'm just pointing out there is some benefit.

Anyway, it's probably not something they would want to announce on a forum anyway so if this is possible PM me, if not don't worry about it, I just thought I'd ask.

Just think of all the good you're doing for those European social services wink.gif

Otherwise, I'd recommend buying some Trickers (or similar euro boots) from your neighborhood dealer (at least avoiding the duties)

Btw- Wasn't Silkroad the site to go to for requesting illegal services?
I see no problem asking that to a seller/shop. If they dont want to, no hard feelings but then ill spend my money someplace else. Its not as if I earn that much that I can take another hit of 30% on tax and duties.
