What's the deal with this page?

http://www.contextclothing.com/item.php?id=4214&utm_source=Context+Interactive+Email&utm_campaign=703806caed-Context_08_25_13&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_12eba29232-703806caed-221357378

I tried to hit the "size" form and it does nothing. Does this mean the pre-orders for the Shell trenches is over?

Same thing happened to me. I'd imagine that since OSB only made 11 pairs they are long gone!

Don't worry...they'll be on eBay for $1500 soon! LOL

I'd really like to see what brown chromexcel looks like after it's seen some action. Does anyone have any fit shots of what to expect over time?

Also, for you Trench boot owners, have you seen much stretch in the leather? My feet are rather narrow, and an 11.5 lengthwise fits me great, but I'm swimming in the shoe otherwise. My big toe touches the front of an 11, but the rest of the shoe fits great. Any insight/suggestions/experience would be appreciated.

insole or thicker socks should help

Yup, they were gone within a few hours. Would love to see how natural shell develops a patina; is it like whiskey?

@SerialComma, I'd say go for the 11. Especially, if its just one toe. Easier to stretch a shoe than it is to shrink it.

I don't believe so. Whiskey is a dyed color. Natural is just that. Natural, before any dyes are applied. Again...I believe.

I will be honest (and I've mentioned this in the past) but I am the skeptic who doesn't see how the trench boot fits *anyone*. I wear 9.5EEE Allen Edmonds, 9 or 9.5 W1K, 9EE on the 800 last, 9.5EE on the 114 last, 9.5E on the Modified and Barrie lasts (both of which run long at the toe).

My 9.5 Trench boots are too short and too wide. My big toe stubs against the end, and my feet freely slide side to side. If I wear super thick socks, my big toe is killed at the end, and still its only a marginally snug fit on the sides, and still swimming on the heel. It's a gorgeous boot, and I probably should have tried to make a switch or return back when I got them. I've been waiting for boot season to come again (nowish) to throw 'em up for sale, so I probably will within the next few weeks.

You are right - shell trenches are gone. As you can imagine, they sold out almost as soon as they went live

Woke up after a vegas bender to order these.  I think they were gone within the first 3 hours of being online?

George, can we order regular laces (like the ones on the brown chromexcels)?

Now I'm even more intrigued. Anybody have examples of aged natural shell? My (cursory) Googling yielded only the Ron Rider website.

There's this one. Looks like the OSB one might start a darker shade.

Did you ever happen to hear back on the different soles?
