Oh, my heart...

That is a nice color...too bad it still only a leather sole option. With a comando or dainite sole these would be killer. When can we expect this type of sole to get released?

Looks really amazing! Is it too much to have natural and brown trench boots? Haha smile.gif

Anyone else think the trench boots look better with flat laces? Just a bit more refined / WWII ish IMO (btw the brown CXL is bad f^cking ass)

i prefer leather laces...just gives the boot a slightly more rugged look in my opinion.

Anyone else jumping on the shell trenches? Gotta figure out how I'm gonna size and gonna pull the trigger

I usually wear a 9 but I read on their website we should buy snug. So I went to a 8.5 like I do on Aldens.
One foot was perfect, the other slightly tight. After three days of wearing them inside my house only and then placing them in shoe trees at night they boot fit perfectly. This was on a chukka but I think the last was still the Elston last. I'd buy the size you usually wear in other boots, not dress shoes.

I'd buy the boot right away if I didn't have to pay for my family's dentistry this month. Children literally eat your money, folks.

Ya I have 11.5 trail oxfords that were tight until broken in. I've heard that cordovan doesn't stretch as much so I was thinking of going size 12 (gonna wear med weight socks with these). Gonna do more research tonight and hopefully make the right pick.

Hey guys,
we recommend going up a half size from your trail oxford size when purchasing Trench Boots. That's what we've seen in regard to sizing!

I got my OSB natural cxl pennies back in February, and I've been wearing and loving them 2-3 times a week since. The color's gotten to be a really lovely golden brown, they're super-comfortable, and I get lots of compliments (and have sent a handful of people off to OSB to get their own).

Over the last month or so, though, I've started noticing the insole slowly migrating toe-ward. You can basically see it in the picture, particularly in the right shoe (left in the picture), where some space is opening up between the stitching on the insole and where the heel rises from the sole, that light yellow-ish brown area. It's a bit uncomfortable just on the right one, because there's a bit of an edge on the insole, and it's moved forward enough to catch under my heel when I'm stepping. My right foot is a bit longer than the left (less than a half-size), so it may be that the cxl on that shoe stretched more in front, leaving a little room for the insole to slowly inch forward.

Is this something I should take to a local cobbler? What would they do? Remove the insole and glue/sew it back in?

Appreciate any help!
