I threw in some insoles and it did the trick, but I'm fearful that it'll always bug me. Should I dump them, try to trade for a size down or stick with them? I'm bummin frown.gif

I am worried about the same thing. I'm kinda in between sizes, right below a, 8.5D. I'm worried the 8D will be tight. I'll definitely wear thicker socks with the trenches so I'm thinking that might make up the difference if I do go 8.5D.

Am I apt for a heel replacement? Albeit, it has only been a few months.

^ I would

I am an 8D in Alden Barrie and the 8.5 trench boot was way too big for me

That is exactly what I needed to hear. I am an 8D in Barrie as well. I should go 8D trench, then?

I am an 7.5D in Barrie boots and I took a chance on 7.5D in the trenches only because I was impatient and they didn't have the recommended 8Ds in stock.  I've kept them and they work but here are my impressions for both boot lasts in the same size:

 -  It almost feels like the trenches are shorter in length than the Barries.  I haven't measured them but it "feels" like the trenches are shorter and I kind of wish I had gone with the 8D trenches.

 -  IMO, the trenches are quite a bit wider than the Barries. I think that's why going the same size kind of worked for me.

 -  Bottom line, I think I would have been better going TTS on the trenches.  Slight worry that they may be a bit wide though.

The trenches are certainly not wider than Barrie, not sure on length.  Trenches are the only boot I feel comfortable TTS out of the Wolverine 1K line, trubalance or barrie, and these.

Sorry, didn't want to add to the confusion, just my anecdotal evidence, certainly not an authority on any or all of the boots.  wait for George to chime in, i'm sure he'll be on in the near future.

Yea, sometimes we act like we all have the same shaped feet on here just in different lengths, haha. I don't mind trial and error. I just want to start with the size that will give me the highest chance of success. I have to dig through my emails cause I have asked Tony at OS for sizing advice I want to say he suggested 8D. It's easier to relate when people on the forum have had experience that wear your same size.

I completely disagree. I find the 8D trench wider than the 8D Barrie; especially in the instep

Got my Trench boots too. I figured I would chime in on sizing.

I'm somewhat between a 7D and 7.5D. My right foot is a 7.5D while my left is around a 7D. For some reason i think I might be E (but it might just depend on the time of day).

I emailed OSB and Tony recommended a 7D and not a 7.5D. He said that the CXL would stretch to fit and if necessary they could make a split size custom.

The 7D seems to fit well and they are definitely wide enough for me (pretty much perfect). The only complaint I have on sizing is that the front of my toe is a little compressed vertically. Sideways they are fine. Tony told me that it should stretch to fit. Does anyone here have any input on this? I haven't worn them outside yet and want to make sure I have the correct size.

For reference I wear a 7D in 1Ks and they fit reasonably well. 7.5D in Park Ave and Strands. 7D in IRs but they're slightly too narrow and slightly too long. 9s in Nike Frees. I think my feet maybe have a strange shape for me to need to size up 2 for the Nikes, but whatever fits I guess.

I got my trench boots about a week ago and got the 8D. I usually wear size 8 and measured 7.5 on my left foot and 8 on my right foot on the brannock device. The fit is great and I'm loving the boots. As for the Nike Frees, I think it's a really snug fit. I have a couple of pairs of them in size 8.5.

Got a few pictures below!

Are your feet pretty snug or loose? I'm slightly worried that the toe area won't stretch out enough. Thanks!

How is the fit on your 8D foot in the length? Where does the ball of your foot end up?

Great looking boots! Wear them in good health!
