Most people are going with their trail oxford size in the shell loafers (or up half from their CXL loafers)

HW Carter & Sons took the Shell Cordovan Loafers off their site because of the mad dash of people trying to pick them up - however, they are BACK on the site - and yes, the price is for real - under $500 for shell cordovan handsewn loafers nod[1].gif

George have you ever seen the stitching on the welt breaking like on mine? Doesn't seem like an issue just wanted to hear your opinion.

Just got the email to say mine have shipped - a glitch with the website meant I've not had to pay for (international) postage either!

Had my trail oxfords on all day (11) and decided to go down to a 10.5 in the boat shoe that I had on order. I ordered a 10.5 in the shell loafer so I hope this will be okay - I guess it won't stretch as much as cxl, but I'm hoping no laces will balance this out!
