Yeah, but keeping them separate makes it easier to justify buying both the shell and HH versions...biggrin.gif

Haha, I like your style!

If given the choice between chrome tanned steer and chrome tanned horse, however, I'd take the steer (too similar IMHO). Now, if you could get em in veg tanned HH, I'd be all over them!

Got my boots in the mail today. Definitely loving them except I'm not feeling the leather laces. Any recommendations for waxed laces?

Here are some more pictures of my black ones with some generic brown jeans:

I personally like the way these look even better than the natural CXL, although that is a beautiful leather.

I think the black boots look really cool. I probably would have bought a pair if they had them with cap toes and in my size.  Really nice..  The contrast between the black leather and the brown sole is striking.  And I expect that the black CXL will wear nicely without necessarily showing every nick.  Enjoy...

Here are some random pictures of my OSB trench boots in natural chromexcel; unfortunately, these pictures were captured by my mediocre phone camera. I replaced the laces with some grey waxed cotton laces and added a commando half-sole for increased traction and sure-footing--additionally, I did so to increase the longevity of the leather sole. I have owned these boots for about 3-4 months and wore them fairly consistently (a few dozen miles, at least)... until summer arrived, though I still try to wear them time to time when the weather permits (I live in Florida, it tends to rain a lot here). To care for them, I have not done much besides, once, weatherproofing them with a beeswax product and brushing them after every wear. A particular feature I enjoy of chromexcel leather is how easily scuffs can be rubbed/brushed away. Overall, I am quite happy with my purchase; they are beautiful boots and sometimes whenever I catch a glance of them, I can't help but stare at them. Though, I wish I was brave enough to slosh through "torrential rain" with my boots. I hope to enjoy these boots for years to come! Thank you George and the rest of OSB!

Any chance for a trench boot in earth chamois?  Perhaps a roughout version is already available as an exclusive somewhere?
