It will also be interesting to hear about this "special shell" moc boot.

Wow!^^ if these are under 700 I'm in

From what I hear it will in fact be a natural or whiskey shell.

Omg. Natural shell is so awesome. I'm really hoping for not black.

Natural shell doesn't patina as much as other shell colors. I hope for something else

I like.. The patina

Natural shell absolutely patinas as much as other shells. The question is whether someone is willing to wear them in a way that patinas properly, the way you'd wean Natty CXL. It's also a much rarer color to see in the wild, so you won't see as many examples of it being beaten to shit as you do with the more common colors.

I 100% promise that if it's Natural shell to beat the living shit out of it. I want to see a Natty CXL plain toe boot. And, since we have OSB's attention, please give sole customizations, at least to those of us on SF. One pair with neo-cork, pleeeeeeeeeease?

^ The word 'shell' has got a few people's attention I see =)
This is actually a collab project which is why I can't divulge details just yet

***By the way - I didn't mention it here, but we're in Nashville for NorthernGrade this weekend. Definitely come on by if you're in TN!

is natural shell; the same as caramel shell? i know diff vendors use diff names for the same shade

I saw you were offering a discount in Nashville. Can that be applied online? I've been looking at a pair for months now. A little off would push me over the edge to purchasing them.

Is there any news on the possibility of a commando sole for the Trench boots? The leather soles really don't work for me.

I just bought a pair of trench boots, and it just so happens that I've also been looking around for a new belt.  I'm considering this natural chromexcel belt from Rancourt & Co., but I've started to wonder if it might match too closely.  In reality, I'd be wearing my trench boots with this belt about 90% of the time, so I'd rather get it right the first time.

Any thoughts on this?  Can they match too much?  Anybody else particularly thrilled with a belt to go with their trench boots?

Thanks

To each his own. For me, the leather soles are a no-go because we get a LOT of snow and slush 6 months out of the year. If I got trench boots with the leather sole I'd just have to have them topied anyway.
