oh shit. If you're doing a black shell trench boot with a Dainite sole, put me on the list for that.

Hey you still didn't say what the rumor you heard was or where you heard it. :P Troublemaker, dropping that kind of knowledge on this thread. Sorry!

So, any word on the colors? I prefer Natty Shell, or Color #8, but I have a hunch they'll be black (not my thing).

I know a guy who knows a guy!

Jokes bro. Shell trench boots are a win for all of us.

My vote is a natty/cigar - way too much of the #8 floating around there with the Alden. A deep brown like the RL shell offerings would be really nice IMHO.

Cigar would be sick. Agree with the #8, over done.

Black with antique edges, that would be awesome to.

I'd be surprised if we saw anything but black or #8. Hard enough to find cigar and ravello from Alden, and they've got the lion's share.

Natural shell is underappreciated... that's my vote.

Well, count me in.

I just met with Skip Horween to talk Shell the other day. I'm sure you guys know, but shell availability is at an all time low. Meaning, that there is more shell demand that what they can literally make in a year - so they have to supply their contract customers like Alden and Allen Edmonds. However, Skip and I have been talking for years about a very special shell that he is slowly saving for me - and we have some built up now, and should have something for the holidays =)
Not in these boots, but from our moc line.

From earlier in the thread... I don't think anything in shell ever materialized, but it doesn't sound like Color #8 or Black.

^The moc shell cordovan went to Japan, but we ended up not using the shell I was referring to here (we've still got that!). For Japan, we made black and color 8 penny loafers - they were beautiful - in fact, I really should have made a pair for myself!

When will you divulge more info in regards to the boots??
