I need advice on how to dress to clubs, please help =) - Page 3

I wish I was being sarcastic, they actually do a 14+ hour day at my middle school.

Here's the daily timetable Monday to Saturday.

5.30 rise.
6.00 running to martial music
6.30 breakfast.
7.30 lessons.
9.50 running to martial music.
10.30 lessons.
12.00 lunch and break.
14.40 lessons.
16.10 running to martial music.
16.30 sports, music, art and other extra curricular activities,
18.00 dinner.
19.00 homework and self-study in classrooms
21.30 finish.
22.30 lights out.

Saturday school day finishes at 18.00. Sunday evening homework and self-study 19.00-21.30.

They don't actually want people to THINK in mainland China, that could be dangerous.

At your age, I would go with simply a fitted white oxford with either grey slacks/raw denim and bluchers. A sportcoat might look out of place.

He probably wouldn't have been shat on (or, at least, not in as liquidy and gassy a manner) had he been 16 and asking for sartorial advice for a first date. But he either has to be a troll or has parents who condone breaking the law assuming the so-called "clubs" that are letting him in serve alcohol on the premises and are located here in the US where the legal drinking age is 21. It's not the fact that he's a noob, but the troll/criminal part of it that are getting him the brown deluge.

 

 

Do anything but dress your age.

 

Start with your shoes, really nice low key loafers with no bling. Italian preferably and black. Santoni is a name you can trust.

 

Next trou: forget jeans and think tropical wool and switch to linen when it's smoking hot. Very dark. Navy is your "Happy" color; otherwise charcoal or black. If you go black, you better go expensive, because cheap and black is almost always nasty looking. Again, Italian. See a trend here? Zanella is a name you can trust. Cuff them. 2" cuffs are the current rage and they have been stylish for over 100 years.

 

You wear socks? Make them expensive as well and silk or wool. Bresciani is a name you can trust.

 

Shirt? Simple, white or very pale blue or pink, and very expensive. Double cuffs with very simple Sterling silver or gunmetal links is the way to go. Borrelli is a name you can trust for the shirt and Tyrwhitt or Dolan-Bullock for the links. No need to go crazy expensive with the links, in case you are prone to losing them.

 

Positively no bling, Not even your belt buckle.

 

Belt? Black gator or croc would be rocking it, but ostrich or plain calfskin works just great. Simple silver buckle, never gold. Gunmetal buckles are also sweet when your links match.

 

Lastly, if you wish to be taken seriously, then a tailored sport coat is your admission ticket to acceptance. Never take it off until you get home or turn 30, whichever comes first. Make yours a relativelysmall pattern sport coat of navy and black; like houndstooth or similar. For off the rack expedience, Kiton is a name you can trust.

 

 

Here is the desired look for you:

 

 

 

 

 

This look will take you clubbing anywhere in the known world.

 

And do not be afraid of the uniform. Buy nice stuff, keep it clean, and wear it every night by swapping out socks and shirt for clean ones if you pull back to back all-nighters.

 

The only more sophisticated look for you, should be a custom charcoal suit with everything else remaining the same except for shoes where you could swap in some really nice black oxfords to finish the look. For the oxfords you may want to begin to look at English makes as well as the usual Italian suspects.

I wear basic crap I dont care about...

people smell bad, spill shit, puke, sweat, and more all over... no point in wearing anything nice

and clubs are just ok... once every 3 or so months for me and im good.

No problem - also read recondites post closely. His look is more Conservative but sharp and mature.

 

The looks and brands I listed are "younger" and more "in" with what young guys are wearing, I think 

 

One point of clarification, make sure your sport coat is light weight! The reason I did not list linen as a material is because it wrinkles easily. If you go linen, get a a blend. Zegna has some new technology that is very cool. I think it's silk/cashmere? I dont know - they will know at Saks or Barneys.

 

Honestly, I feel like Micheal Bastian's Gant line is PERFECT for someone your age. The bright colors will work in Miami, too.

I generally agree. I tend to prefer lounges (you can wear nice duds and not worry about being thrown up on).
