My boss, our VP of Sales, dumped a project in my lap towards the middle of last week. I had no idea at the time that he was dragging me into a political battle that he has been waging with the VP of Technology for the past year, and is using a crisis to make an end run. The tech team has been fighting with me tooth and nail. For extra fun, our President has been ******** things up with her own ideas, and the CEO of our parent company is looking over all of our shoulders.

It's been a hell of a week.

The world would not be a better place if I indulged in the joy of goat cheese because it would make me sick. (Unless that would be to the net benefit of the world. I doubt it, though.) But that just means there's more goat cheese for you. Things have a way of working out, I guess.

Such nihilism in this day and age.

The fact that L'Incandescent is no man but a persona existing only in cyberspace?

Pissing me off: I seem to have violent reactions to adrenaline; any situations where extra adrenaline is produced renders me shaky and nervous for about 15 minutes. Acceptable on a rugby pitch or in a fight where jumping about and moving quickly is a good thing, but things like a big win at work or before giving a speech is much harder to handle. Although mentally very calm I end up looking like a nervous wreck all because my body can't keep its damned secretions in check.

So I'm reviewing a fellow student's paper at the moment, and for a senior graduating in December with a BSB in Economics, I would expect more knowledge regarding basic economic principles. The dude states that natural gas prices have gone down because demand has risen, that this demand has spurred new technologies, and that the price isn't rising yet because of even greater demand. .:paranoia:

Asshole sociopathic managing director apparently now has alzheimers as well. Forgetting the work I gave him earlier this week, and losing it in the piles of paper on his desk that work pretty much like an oubliette.

I will be leaving this job in a month or two, and will open up a thread about that ******. There are just too many WTF moments that are quite recognizable for anybody that knows him atm...

Is he named Pat?

Two letters right.

One gem from earlier today:
Overheard him telling a client that the managing partner of a certain family office in these parts "idolizes" him, and wants him on the supervisory board of one or two companies they manage, but he doesnt think its a good fit for him, and thinks the client would be better. Not only did he flat out lie about that, the guy cant stand him, would never ever consider him for a position like that, and he could really use the cash such a position would entail thus would never decline. Then proceeding to cajole the client he just offered a job he cannot give to approach another prospective client FOR him, as that prospect doesnt want to speak to him.
