^ I only caught the last twenty minutes or so. Couldn't believe what I was seeing: Germany looked terrible.
----
On the last night of my bi-annual visit with my parents, my dad strategically broke our mutual silence/denial re: my longtime (non-Korean, whitey) girlfriend. It was for the best, I suppose. But dealing with my mom's hysterical meltdown isn't very pleasant.

How do you bring that up after what sounds like a long unstated agreement not to talk about it? "So, how's that girlfriend of yours doing, the girlfriend who is white, I mean, as I don't suppose you've acquired a Korean one and neglected to tell us? Is she still as white as ever?"

Sorry your tummy is still messed up, hope it clears up by the weekend. Hopefully you'll be ready to chow down again by the 4th.

I have one of my subordinates working out of an office of my parent company. We were taken over around two years ago but remain as separate organizations, and the integration of the two companies is not going well.

I sent a friendly email to my counterpart there (who I have never met) to introduce myself and to open up communication if any issues come up with my guy there as we haven't done this kind of thing much in the past.

That asshole forwards my email up the chain of command on his side and it becomes the starting point of a "we need to set guidelines because they don't know what they are doing and we don't want them touching our stuff" discussion.

Then it comes back down the chain of command for me to create some unnecessary guidelines.

And the dickhead still hasn't shown the common courtesy of replying to my email.
