I get the underlying bad apple problem, but still:

Last night I make a restaurant reservation for this evening. I get an email confirmation. Then this afternoon, the restaurant leaves a message on my voicemail, asking me to call them back and confirm my reservation.

Sorry, no. I'm at work and have better things to do with my time (like post on Styleforvm). But clearly, this restaurant and I place different relative values on a table at their mediocre restaurant (and given that it's a 7:00 p.m. reservation on a Monday, they're probably going to be half-empty anyway) on one hand, and my time on the other. I already made a reservation. They can honor it or not (again, assuming space is at a premium, which I seriously doubt). If not, there are a half-dozen equivalent places down the street.

I forgot my wallet at home the other day and went for a drive and it got me thinking... what century is it that I actually have to carry a license with me? Store that shit in the cloud, police.

This drives me nuts, too. I booked a lunch reservation at a Manhattan restaurant and they did this. There were only 3-4 other tables in the place when we were there. Probably 25 empty tables. I get it... if the place is totally booked, you want to minimize no-shows, but I wish the restaurants would use some common sense.

One can only hope!

So last night was our final softball game of the season. We hadn't won a single game yet. We're leading the entire game. Last inning. Routine flyball to the outfield. Yours truly has a chance to be a hero. I wasn't really paying attention, mis-read the hit and couldn't catch the ball. Now it is a tie game with a runner on third. We did not end up winning.

Stale Lucky Charms piss me off.

You should go to target.

I was there last night and they were running a big sale on children's cereal...most types were on sale, and you got a $5 gift card for buying any 5 boxes.

I did not pick up any Lucky Charms, but I did retrieve several other favorites including Cap'n Crunch, Reeses Puffs, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

If you buns-heads knew anything about cereals you would be purchase Fruity Pebbles.

Fruity Pebbles were also on sale.

Cracklin Oat Bran was not...although Protein Cheerios were (and I have recently taking a liking to Protein Cheerios)

I like to think of cracklin oat bran as being made out of pork cracklings

They hemmed and hawed like "Umm, uhh, you know, mmm, uhh... ... READ IT IN A SCIENCE JOURNAL!" And I was like "Yeah sure you did."

The only things I ever got done when doing cocaine were more cocaine, drinking copious amounts of booze, chain smoking, and potentially unsafe sexual acts.

I watched 10 Japanese horror movies in a row while demolishing an eight ball, so I can say that I've accomplished something while on coke.
