Things that are pissing you off. - Page 4325

Walking my dog and people who approach from the opposite direction with their dog, and (even though my dog is small and non-threatening in terms of breed) they refuse to let the dogs say hello by either restraining their dog, or switching to the other side of the street. What idiots--dogs need to make acquaintances in the neighborhood too. Otherwise they will think there is something to be afraid of, and then become aggressive towards each other, when actually they just wanted to say hi to each other. smh super selfish dog owners. they just don't want to actually say hello to a stranger (me). what a great way to go through life.

Yeah! Selfish dog owners who won't do what you want them to do with their dogs! It makes you wonder what other personal decisions they're making without once considering whether or not you agree.

Noooo......

I often see people walking their dog and then drag their dog away, when it tries to say hello to other dogs, it's not in the dogs best interest, as they need dog 2 dog contact, not to become aggressive, it's a bit like not letting it sniff grass, flowers etc.

Dogs tend to be able to figure if it's a dog they should talk to or not themselves, so no need to control it.

Maybe the dog was at doggy daycare all day and didn't need anymore interaction. Maybe it's mean, or just had surgery. Maybe the dog just isn't social (one of my dogs couldn't care less about other dogs), or maybe it gets super wound up around other dogs and the owner was looking for a quiet evening at home.

Maybe the owner had a pot on the stove and the dog just needed a quick trip out. Maybe the owner is a misanthrope who is uncomfortable with human interaction, or maybe he had a shitty day and didn't really want to make a new friend. Hell, maybe the owner had diarrhea and really needed to get home ASAP.

Maybe it's not another person's job to make sure the poster's dog is properly socialized. Maybe the poster looks like a rapist.

There are all sorts of reasons a random person on the street might not want to stop and let their dog "talk" to another dog, and pretending there is some obligation to stop simply by virtue of the fact that you happen to pass another person with a dog is just silly. It's even sillier to call not stopping "selfish."

I need to lose 5 pounds. I gained 5 pounds in the last year. If all goes well, I will lose it by Saturday.

We don't have doggy daycare here.

I meet the same person everyday, who doesn't let her dog say hello to any other dogs.

I can't decide what's more annoying, dog talk or children talk.

Who's got a work complaint to share?

Doctors generally recommend taking a shit more than once a week...

I will spend three hours with someone I loathe today due to work.

How's that?

It guess it is better than spending your day at work away from a wife you loathe like a lot of people.

So you're working 21 hours?

Here's something I've been noticing more and more at so-called high end restaurants: they are adding the word "Crispers" to the end of the names of the menu items ("Hen of the Woods Mushroom Crispers" etc). This just gives them plausible deniability when they overcook basically cheating like "I meant to do that."

I have not noticed that. Do they serve extra ranch dressing with crispers?
