^haha I have a rule against going to ikea, I hate it and I always end up having to carry and ugly white fabric sofa up to the 4th floor or some ****.

I complain in the shop about being there and afterwards, so people know I don't want to be there and they will avoid taking me again. :embar:

there is a pair of pants I want from BB.

the size is marked BB2. I don't know wtf that means, so I click size chart.

Size chart says 15.5" neck, 31 inch sleeve.

They're pants.

Mrs. A and I had a meeting with her oncologist yesterday, to get the report for her latest MRI. It's been slowly sinking in all day. The news is equivocal, at best: her tumor is "significantly reduced" (whatever that means), but the fact that her pain level has been increasing for the last month could be bad news, so she needs another PET scan. Depending on what that says we should be prepared for another round of chemo, which is New! and Improved! Not as Toxic as Your Father's Chemo!
So, it's back on the emotional roller coaster for us. I'm exhausted already, and Mrs. A is barely holding herself together - she's been in hell at work for the last few months, and this news is just icing on the cake.

thats really rough. im sorry to hear that. my best wishes for a full recovery to your wife. speedily, and with as minimal pain as possible. hopefully none. my thoughts are with you guys.

Day off was an epic failure.
Spent first half cleaning the house for a party I didn't want thrown, for family I don't like, and my mother, who is throwing it, played hooky to avoid cleaning.

Got called into work on my day off to do **** I won't be paid for.

Tomorrow both sides of my family, catholic and protestant, are expected to be in attendance, which means there's a good chance the good friday arrangment will be out the door by the time the second round of drinks hits the table.

I can't wait to go back to work on monday.

There was one moment when she asked me to flip a tag so she could read the back presumably because she couldn't reach it.
After she finished reading it she leaned over and flipped it herself.
I'm kinda glad I can rant about this here cuz I'm pretty sure I wouldn't tell offline friends.
I find it hard to stay angry at anything tho. She held my hand briefly and all was forgotten. Now I'm just tired.

in ten years you will...

People in Dallas are weird. I am glad I left.

Gosh I kind of miss Boston a lot.. I just don't feel like I'm fitting in with the culture/crowd of people here in Dallas. I only really feel this when I'm going out and hanging out with people my age.. but it might have to do with the people Im going out with. I still don't have a solid group of friends here and my to-be co workers haven't started yet so I've been hanging out with my roommate's friends/co-workers and dammit, I just have nothing in common with them. I've hung out with my to-be coworkers and I have fun with them because I can relate to them more and they're more of my age group and etc but it's going to be a couple months until they're working full-time.

I guess I just really miss my best friends back home

people who only say the last half of a sentence and then assume you can read their mind and get the first half and get mind if you can't.

Had to ask someone to repeat four times yesterday and the fifth time, I just gave up and asked WTF are you talking about.

Flight to Charlotte canceled because of mechanical problems, so I am now among a group on a van for the 2 hour drive. If all goes well I'll get there just in time without a second to spare to make my connection to Indy. :fingerscrossed:
