In Baltimore, they don't carry syndicated reruns of Til' Death with Brad Garrett, syndicated shows like Cash Cab. In the past, then-ABC/Group W (now CBS O&O) WJZ 13 refused to carry Dark Shadows at first (same story for my ABC affiliate for first two years and unfortunately owned by Baltimore-based Sinclair Broadcast Group), and then NBC (now ABC) WMAR 2 passed on the late Johnny Carson in the 1980s and ended up on an Indie. Plus their NBC station WBAL 11 doesn't carry Kathie Lee & Hoda's hour of Today every morning, they do carry it around 2:05am I think. Unfortunately WBAL is owned by Hearst (same owners of my local NBC station WYFF 4). WBAL is home of Stan Stovall. Also Baltimore TV help launched the careers of Oprah, Sue Simmons (soon to leave NBC's NYC O&O WNBC 4 after 32 years), Ron Canada (who became a character actor), and the late Jim McKay.

I hope Greenville, SC doesn't become sister city to Baltimore, instead be with Washington, DC baby. For Atlanta, GA I hope they won't become sister cities with Washington, DC, instead go for Baltimore! IMHO.

ummmm, its baltimore?

95% of it is horribly run down and looks like ****, there are miles of vacant homes. were are a 2nd tier city that pretends to be 1st. there is really nothing to do here in terms of attractions. we have a top rated murder rate, and the we are the number 1 intravenous drug using city in the country, maybe the world. property taxes are obscene, property values are ****. the local officials are useless and corrupt as ****, the city works department sucks ass, the streets all need repaving, and unless a judges mother in law lives next door aint **** to get it done (see back to corruption), snow never gets plowed, people are getting harassed for water bills for tens of thousands of dollars that are now coming out as a huge city blunder. the city is very business non friendly, and thats an understatement. the police are horrible, abusive and almost useless, admittedly they have a hell of a job. being that no normal person wants the job, they end up with the department we have.

shall i go on?

now, i happen to be very happy with my immediate neighborhood, and the county is fine, and there are many nice parts of MD that are great. but lets call a spade a spade. baltimore city is a total and complete **** hole.

I went to Baltimore once and had a nice time although all I did was go to the aquarium, have dinner in the harbor, a few beers at Fell's Point and then snuck into Camden Yards to catch a game! It was fun and seemed nice at the time but obviously my sample size it quite minimal... anyway... that part above made me :rotflmao:

Come to Baltimore!! Our murder rate.... it's top rated by Lonely Planet, Fodor's and AAA!

Baltimore has some audacious homeless. They're usually so ******* punch-worthy that you can't stop with just one.
