Damn thanks for reminding me to make a trader joes run.

other than moochi, trader joes makes pretty good (not fresh NYC kind, but very good) macaroons that you can find in the frozen section.

there must be a trader joes in every city by now right?

Had a bad fight with my girlfriend last night. It's one of those times that I can look back at it and realize it was almost completely my own fault. Ugh.

Are you stalking him????

I think I've posted about this before. My downstairs neighbors SLAM the front door of my building every time they leave or enter. Every single time. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 slams until it closes. This is entirely unnecessary and I honestly would not be surprised if the lock is eventually broken.

Now my question is, would it be a bitch move to call my landlord and complain about this? I'm the only other person in the building so if the landlord calls dirtbag neighbor, he will know who ratted him out.

1. put neighbors face in doorway.

2. slam door on face.

3. say to neighbor, "look, see how annoying it is when people slam doors?"

4. profit ? (or maybe jail. 50/50)

The solution is to pound on their front door as hard as you can every night as late as possible and run away before they open it. Repeat until they stop

I'm in the same boat - renter with one neighbor. Just be a grown up and talk to the guy. My neighbor played music too loudly at all hours. I went and asked him if he could keep it down after midnight during the week, and he did.

.

When you're back in Dallas, get some macarons at Creme de la Cookie at Preston and Royal. Best I've had in town by far. Same price as the ones at Central Market but almost twice the size.

I've actually been there and bought like 12. Took one bite and threw them all away. Waaaayyyyy too sweet. Disgustingly so.

The cookies were also way too soft for my liking, which most people probably would like. But I actually like my macarons kind of dried out to the point where the cookies are chewy.

The ones at central market are decent. I laid down the charm on the counter lady and she gave me a couple for free. You're right tho -- they're tiny and expensive. Flavor was decent but I wouldn't buy any.

Best macarons are in nyc.. No surprise there.

Somehow I feel like the TJ macarons will be very good.
