dude parking diagonally got the "asshole" note. his issue was that he was parking in a way that inconvenienced other patrons by taking up 2 spots. its a crowded garage and you pay for one space, so its an asshole move to take 2 spots.

dude whos car was all the way in the driving lane got the "giant ass face" note. not only was he inconveniencing other patrons, he parked in a way that was dangerous and could easily lead to a collision causing both automobile and bodily harm to others.

One spot is good for my car. I saw Bugattis, Bentleys, Maybach's and similar parallel parked in Paris on busy streets. if anyone had a reason to park their cars away from the masses, it was them. In fact the only people parked like idiots were a couple Saudis in their mid 20's driving Lambos which they parked on the sidewalk. They were also dressed like very expensive guest stars on the Jersey shore.

I just received an e-mail from my employer telling us not to park in the north part of the parking lot on Friday night or Saturday afternoon. What the hell do they think I am MacGyver I don't know which the hell side is the north side. (Had to consult a map.) I think they are trying to trick me into parking my car in the lines by reducing the available spaces.

One spot works for me, too. I do tend to park far away, but that's because I like to stretch my legs with a walk after a drive.

If it is morning it is the bit to the left of the big shiny thing in the sky, if it is afternoon then the bit to the right is the forbidden zone..

I can't imagine doing this in the winter. It would bring back too many memories of my days in Canada. cold[1].gif

Man, just give me a landmark, such as "North is where X Building is," that's all's I need.

it's crazy to park like that... I just always have my driver keep driving around the block until I'm ready to go.

Lol Fang.

Ain't nobody want to back into a Bentley when they are parking.

And when they do...what's another grand for some touchup work? Only poors with an over extended credit line worry about safety parking

I restored a 67' Camaro about 10 years ago and was over-protective of it, since body work required specialized shops that would put your wallet through the wringer. Really sort of annoying to be that concerned about a car, so as much as I enjoyed building it, it was a relief when I sold it.

Taken a few days ago near home (and in a fairly ghetto part of town). Note the state of the bumper:

Parked my Fiat in my driveway last night.

This morning, the window was broken.

Stolen out of the car were 2 Harris Tweed jackets that I was taking in for tailoring, and two pair of rather expensive sunglasses.

Bill for the broken window and window regulator will be over $500, plus the lost jackets and sunglasses, plus anger over some asshole stealing from me and breaking my stuff.

Really really angry right now. Need to go hit something.
