Its like

1) Imma leave so many broken hearts and

I am forced to define the category of employees that can enroll in my healthcare plan. I offer a healthcare plan, because back in WWII, a wage freeze was placed on manufacturing employees (the people back home building tanks and such) so manufacturers started offering non-wage benefits as recruiting tools. Now we are all stuck with employer sponsored health premiums getting tax preferred status. As I am legally required to define who qualifies for my tax preferred healthcare plan I must exclude those people not in that category. "Full time employee" has a legal meaning for me. If someone gets a brain tumour, and cannot fulfill the requirements of being a full time employee, I must take action or I place the organization at risk.

Is it the organization's doing a) it must create and maintain said policies or b) that an employee developed a brain tumour preventing them from meeting said policies?

agree with piob, but also bottomline here is as much as I feel for our brain tumor employee and would extend our organization's help as much as we can, and maybe even further than that, I have also decided from the beginning that it is time to let her go. and it is good for her as she will need to address her condition better if she's spared from having to report to work and so on, but it is also my job as a mid-level drone here to decide what's best for the organization and the other people who work here.

Last time I went to the grocery store, I bought three boxes of cereal (including one Cracklin' Oat Bran). But as of this moment, I have zero boxes of cereal on account of ate them all. Probably shouldn't of ate them up so fast.

Just a moment ago I thought "I should buy some furniture. I think that would make me pretty happy." But then a second later I thought "But then I might die (to balance out the happiness)." If I didn't think things like that, my life would go better I'm pretty sure.

I sound like I'm dying of consumption and I have five hours of classes on three hours of sleep (due to aforementioned coughing)

I'm (mostly) just giving you a hard time. Vanderbilt is a fine b-school. we recruited at A&M one season but the students didn't quite work out (they weren't a good fit for our "corporate culture" [meaning that there were some weirdos])

sushi here is overpriced and sucks. When I get back to Iceland I'm spending all the leftovers from my first paycheck on sushi, and eating nothing but fish, rice and seaweed for at least two weeks.

I hate grapefruit, I don't understand the vitamin water thing nor people who pay 2+$ for 1/2 of water or colored water as this is, I almost would.

There are two types of sandwiches the ones with chicken and bacon and those without.

Sushi sucks /period.
