When you are an exceptional employee, the employee review period is just annoying and a waste of time.

The same dickwad that started making jokes after I'd missed my meeting. He has long hair and wears a fedora.

This is the kind of shit that drives me crazy about this place. A legion of unskilled assholes riding on the backs of the few of us who do all the work. Sick of it.

Ah, so you're a government employee.

Betimes SF does not offer enough ways to procrastinate (low threak activity). Now is a moment of said times.

Absolute effing waste of time and is done just so HR can have something to do.

Reviews should happen on a daily basis when Tommy turns in a project to Bossman. Bossman then reviews.

Bossman to Tommy:

Why didn't you use crayons, Tommy?

Tommy: Why?

Bossman: Because, if this project is indicative of your skill set, you are about on par with a six year old. I think crayons may be a better medium in that case. I see your hours on the projects and the hours are not reflected in the work product for x, y, and z reasons. So either you padded your hours a/k/a lied, you are wholly incompetent, or perhaps both. Keep submitting work like this and you will be on the soup line soon.

there's an HR person sitting at the empty desk space outside of my office today. Holy shit, I want to stab myself in the ear.

Highlights as of 9:45 AM (I got in at 9 AM, fuckers):
- Talking somebody through steps they can take to ensure that some person is properly filing items that come out of the printer
- Speaking with a manager regarding how to handle an employee that takes "too much time" to attend weight watchers meetings

I feel inclined to dump my company stock.

Overhearing HR conversations is always entertaining. The kinda crap they do day to day is amazing.

Think of the bright side though--at least there is a whole part of the company devoted to handling that stupidity so you don't have to.

this is what i've come to realize - it's not all their fault. It all comes full circle with everything i've come to realize in life: WTF is wrong with people?

Actually I'm a contractor who cleans up their messes. Very good guess.

Look at all the big issues in the world today . How much of that is simply the result of stupidity and selfishness ? Yeah I think WTF is the appropriate question

I can't imagine how they do not spend half the day banging their head against the wall? Some of the problems presented by highly successful people are often a bit daunting to hear.
