Started off my morning changing a tire for Mrs. Piobaire. Nothing like doing that at 5:30am. She just texted...tire sliced and needs new one. $420 dollar bill. :fu:

Tell her to do overtime to pay for it..

That's horrible. Sorry to hear. Imagine the bottle of wine one could have for $420.

Oy geez that's awful. Hope she's not at the dealer.

A few weeks ago I had a leaky tire so I went to put some air in it, when the valve stem broke. FACK. Turned out that it wasn't a simple stem but rather part of the tire pressure sensor unit. $70 to replace.

**** **** ****.
within the past 2 weeks three large customers have all suddenly gotten very aggressive about their pricing.
I am going to be doing some tapdancing in the coming weeks. This sucks.

poop. wanna send in some muscle?

The great deal on a phone upgrade I received a couple weeks ago has turned into a nightmare. First they changed my data plan when I specifically told them not to. Then, when I complained, they changed it to a plan I told them I didn't want. I finally got someone to put me on the plan I wanted, but they neglected to do it for both of the lines on my account. When we received the new phones last week. we discovered that MrsG's screen was screwed up. She called customer care, and they promised to send a new one ASAP. They did, only they charged extra for shipping when despite the fact that she didn't say she'd pay extra so it would get here faster, and it somehow managed to take just as long as standard shipping. Oh, and they shipped the wrong replacement phone. Seriously, what the ****? Is this really that hard?

NO, I DON'T WANT TECH SUPPORT!!!! THE PHONE IS NOT BROKEN, IT'S THE WRONG ******* PHONE!!!! YOU CAN'T FIX THAT BY GOING THROUGH YOUR LITTLE SCRIPT!!!!! GIVE ME SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS ENGLISH AS THEIR FIRST LANGUAGE!!!!!!!!
FUUUUUUUUCK

that sounds like a nightmare. why must cell phone companies be so ******* impossible to deal with?

Back in the day I would buy used tires when one went flat. There was a near endless rotation of ****** used tires which if I really broke it down probably wasn't any cheaper than just buying a full set at one time but of course the cost was spread out over 18 months instead of one big purchase. Having to change them on the side of the road was always a pain, and I had to do it often. Sometimes in the rain and the cold while I huddled under my worn Salvation Army blanket and shivered in the biting freeze. Then my fibromyalgia would kick in and it would be weeks of unbearable pain when all I was trying to do was drive to school for my Master's in early childhood fibromyalgia treatment and I had massive student loan debt and could never get a credit card because I didn't work or pay my bills on time. I am the 99%.

Customers wanting everything made of gold and delivered yesterday.

Still, I thank God/****/Allah that I actually have customers to shout at me. It would be a quiet and broke life without them.

Thanks, Dougie. It looks like they're finally going to get it straight, but I'll believe it when the new, functioning phone is in MrsG's hands.
I'm with T-Mobile, and to be honest, my experiences in the past have been great. I've been with them for nine years, and I always get a great deal when it's time to upgrade my phone. Plus, I'm on all sorts of preferred plans WRT to minutes/data/messaging, so I'm getting a fantastic deal on that front. The only complain I've ever had was their coverage, but it's really not bad, especially given the price and fact that I can almost always compensate for any lapses in coverage with WiFi calling.
That said, this time around has been a complete charlie foxtrot. It's shocking to me how many times they've managed to screw up something so simple. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, given my experience in the past has been so positive, but, if I go through anything like this next time around, I'll definitely be shopping for a new carrier.

I'm a firm believer that barring locational differances(e.g. "XYZ Carrier has no service in my building"), all of the major carriers are equally mediocre. For every hater of a network, there is somebody else dying to get off some other network to join the hated network. The only real issue to consider is that plans keep getting worse/more expensive so if you are still grandfathered into a legacy plan (and anyone who is not a compulsive switcher probably is), it will probably hurt your wallet to switch. I missed out on the good unlimited data plans at AT&T but I am grandfathered in to an old texting plan that costs $5 a month instead of the absolutely ridiculous minimum-$20 plan they offer now.

Lulz, hourly wage earners.

So I get to use the expense account for lunch. I cannot explain how tempting it is to go to Panera every day and eat 'til I throw up.
