No, we have never had any kind of drunk thread on Styleforum. Except the one in Dumb Threads. But other than that, no.

No... I ran out of motivation. If getting drunk didn't require so much effort there would be a lot more alcoholics.

you are not what you own, and what you own ends up owning you. Of course I had these cleap Fight Club epiphanies while floating in my pool this evening, so the irony verges on self-immolation.

LOL nope I can still hate on you and your gated HOA.

but I digress, why am I posting in this thread again? I really have nothing major to be angry about.

But you see, my gated HOA is honest. NIMBY liberals are the absolute lowest form of life with a spine.

they have spines?

On the front page of the online USA Today there's a headline: "Alex Rodriguez gets hit in return at-bat." I'm all like "Goddammit that could plausibly be taken in two different ways!" Then I wasted a minute or two of my time to learn that he got a base hit. (He was not struck by a pitch.)

Don't ask why I was at the online USA Today. (Short answer: it was an accident.)

what's pissing me off is the shoe porn thread.  It's just a bunch of clunky freaking aldens and argyles along with pants that are apparently too short.  Oh yeah, and all that uncle/nephew/good health BS.

Somebody is discovering the quirkier corners of the forvm.

I've been getting moderatly paranoid about everything for no good reason. It's been pissing me off.

I think Alex Jones is trying to control my mind.

No, it is me doing that.

I am the kind of man what gets invited to things and my first thought is "Oh shoot, I might have to say yes."

In any case, how many of you believe in The New World Order and The Illuminati?

I been reading too much conspiracy stuff lately. You all seem like smart guys so I want your opinions.

Yeah, well - all silliness aside - my attitude about them is shifting and subject to further revisions as I reconsider just how much exposure I want to the world-at-large.

okay, so I found a few things that are upsetting me.

1. I'm getting fat. Not Douglas fat but a few trousers are starting to bind.
2. I'm reading a book called Addiction by Design and it's eye-opening how predatory and meticulous Vegas and the gaming industry are. Also considering the implications of a Vegas that is moving from social / group gaming (poker, et al) to banks of slot machines designed to bankrupt the helplessly hooked. (yeah yeah Thomas The World is a Hard Place)
3. Our daughter is going through our drawers and pulling random things out and destroying what can be destroyed. Once she develops Potty Arm, we will never have anything nice in the house ever again.
4. Crap that reminds me my contractor broke a pipe that feeds our sprinkler system. I think I have the parts to fix it. But why am I posting this on the interwebz instead of fixing it?
5. My stupid CPA guide will assign a block of reading and then a block of questions at the end of the chapter. Unfortunately the questions will start to presume knowledge of the next section - for instance I might be reading about the Securities Act of 1933, and the questions start to reference the 1934 Act, and I think goddammit, that's next year!
