Everybody knows that the best fast food burger is the standard McD's cheeseburger.

I actually would agree that the regular fries can be a bit soft and soggy at times, but if you eat them fresh as soon as they're made inside the restaurant, they're pretty damn good and crispy. I like to think of their fries as sort of an acquired taste, so to speak. And I've definitely acquired the taste, lol.

Also, you can get them lite well for some extra crisp or well done for some.. extra, extra crisp. I find well done to be a bit too much and gives the fries an almost dry and really crunchy texture. However, lite well is the sweet spot and I reckon a lot of people would actually rate in-n-outs lite well fries a higher score than their regular fries.

As for whataburger, I've never had it so I can't knock it. I really should try it sometime, though (shog[1].gif). I feel like I can't say I've lived in Texas without ever having had whataburger at least once during my stay here.
Personally, I didn't mind the fries. It's just that the entire package was a little was a little on the bland side.

How long are planning on staying in Texas?

Most fries get soft and shitty once they put them in the bag anyway right? On the rare occasion I'm really in the mood for some fries I'll just go in and ask when they're making a fresh batch. Most of the time it's not more than 5 minutes or so... for me it's worth it to just wait and get them screaming hot and crispy right out of the fryer... it's the only way I eat them.

the new Wolverine kinda sucks... got tickets online, went to the theater last night, bought popcorn and drinks and then.... meh. lots of crazy ninjas, that about sums it up.

This is a given. More importantly, you should take a road trip to the real Lockhart and get some truly legendary BBQ. Have you seen any TX outside of Dallas?

My favourite fast food burger is Wendy's Baconator;. With a side of their chicken strips.

Really? I find In-n-out anything but bland, but I always get animal style with chopped chillies.

As for how long I'll stay here.. I have no idea. Maybe a year more tops? And that's only if I get a sweet job I like here. Otherwise, I'm looking to move either to Austin, LA, Chicago, Boston, or NYC.

I'm telling you brah, Lockhart Smokehouse is legit. You gotta try it!

I have -- I used to live in Houston for eight years when I was a little kid, though I don't remember much of the place. Looking to make a trip to Austin soon (though I've been saying that for the past year and given that I haven't yet, I probably won't, lol).

My downstairs neighbor is singing "Stay" by Rihanna really loud. Did I mention that he is singing it in a Shout at the Devil era Vince Neil voice?

I would make a trip to Austin, although there is less and less of what was great about the city itself left. The young women are mighty attractive, but the city has been completely conquered by white hipsters and California yuppies. But you can take day trips to places like Lockhart, New Braunfels, Luckenbach, etc. Go get some BBQ at Smitty's and then go tubing on the Guadalupe.

You should go visit Big Bend and Marfa before you leave too. Fall is a good time for that.

lol to be perfectly honest, the only reason I really would go is for the hot, hopefully-less-materialistic girls.

I'm not big into live music so that has no appeal to me whatsoever.

You should also try Frankin's within Austin too (line's a little long but it's worth the wait imo)

You could drive to Smittys, eat and drive back for the time you spend in line a Franklins. Besides, Ben's Longbranch was cooler.

Finished two bar exams, feel kind of eh... about the first and important one, dunno about the MBE, and good about the last, less important one. Finished and promptly came down with a massive cold, sore throat, the works. I now have time to do stuff, but mainly just want to lie down. Throat hurts too much for celebratory cocktails. Guess its better than getting sick before the bar...
