Also, I thought all of this moving around would stop when I got my wisdom teeth out a few years ago, but I still get a little movement every now and again. This is the first time it has ever really bugged me, though.

you gotta have that looked over, m. gums might be getting weak.

BUT.. my friend told me a few years back..

"Dude your tooth is chipped"
"Yeah it's been that way since I was a kid."
"Oh.. I never noticed. Wow."
"Yeah. Oh well."

After going out for a quick work meeting, I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror - I had 're-chipped' a damn good portion off somehow, maybe on a spoon or something. That's what my friend was pointing out. Went through an entire work meeting with customers looking like a hillbilly.

I cant seem to get out of my rut. Havent been sleeping well in months. Work stress is starting to catch up with me. Anxious all the time.

Funny story, wife wakes me up last night, not too late, and says she hears something. We had all the windows open since it was nice and cool. I concur that something sounds like crackling wood, and its either coming from across the street, or from the front of our house. I go outside, walk down a little ways, and turns out the neighbors on the street over are having some kind of a bonfire. Now a) I couldnt actually see people just a massive fire b) it looked like it was blowing embers all over the house directly across the street from mine and c) we were pretty sure you couldnt have an open fire in the town I live in (older historic homes, etc..)

I go back inside and tell her, say fuck it, and get ready to go back to sleep and all the sudden I go "you know what, what if that wasnt a bonfire and someone's shit is on fire, plus what if those idiots light our neighbors across the streets house on fire". So I call non-emergency dispatch, suggest they send a car up to take a look no big deal.(we have a really small town, they probably got excited to have something to do). However, when describing where the fire was located, I used my address as the descriptor without even thinking, Im,at XXX so its probably XXX+1 1 street over.

Dispatch asks for my name and number, I say no need to call me back, just a heads up.

crawl back in bed.

next thing I see is two cop cars pull up to our house, lights on, flashlights on, whole 9 yards.

So I go running downstairs, yup, she told them my house, not the house we called in.

They were nice about it, went over to the other house, said it was a bonfire, they were burning scrap wood to start it which is why the flames were so high, I apologized for wasting their time, they were super cool about it.

*The moral of this long ass story is that 33 year old Josh called the cops on the out of control bonfire across the street. 23 year old Josh would have wandered over with a beer and introduced himself.*

F im getting old

Another thing is that whenever I take off my pj's top, I turn it inside out, even though that is not what I'm all about. A man should at least know how not to make his pj's turn inside out.
This is me all the time in strange beds. I can't sleep in sheets or I'll start kicking and fussing. I mostly enjoy sleeping in the floor however.

When you get home you should sell your bed and turn that space into something productive. Maybe an exercise room or yoga studio?

I've been working fulltime for most of this period, though have been coasting this week and last. Some seriously frustrating shit has occurred, too. I've more or less moved in with my gf to a new place (she's closer to where the bar prep classes are, I'll move for real after the bar), had a cancer scare with an immediate family member, my father's had some cardiac issues and has been in the hospital twice, and my GF got mugged near our school the other day. Like L'Incandescent, I also broke a tooth (one of my molars is missing a quadrant now), but fortunately it does not hurt (yet), because I've no time to fix it. If I don't pass the bar, there will be hell to pay at work, too. And I am scared that I won't. Trying to decide to switch to a 10-6am sleep schedule because I SUCK in the mornings, or if accumulating a week of that will just put me in worse shape.

Not to be a downer, but this is like a truly essential skill these days. Good luck!

Yo,H.

You're going to do fine on the Bar. You've been in LS for years, you sohuld be ready! devil.gif

Yep. Verbal really isn't that hard. Learn the idioms and remember modifying phrases must be next to what they are modifying and you'll be fine. Also, every ad comm I've talked to has said they care more about quant than verbal so you will be OK.

So last night I went to the airport for a midnight flight. It is a four-hour flight with a 90-minute layover to catch a 1-hour flight. In short: VERY fucked up night of sleep, if i really got any. Anyway, I get to the airport, I'm super tired, dreaming of just being in bed... I'm 24 hours early.

Anyway, teh worst part is the return is the same itinerary, arrive at 6 AM on Monday to be at work at 730.

Yeah, I'm wondering if that's part of the issue. I was just at a new dentist a couple weeks ago for a sort of "get to know you" appointment, and I mentioned that I had a spot in the far back that hasn't ever seemed right in the years since I had my wisdom teeth out (it was a rough extraction). Id' had it looked at before, but no one could ever tell me why there might still be an issue, so I figured I'd have a fresh set of eyes check it out. He said the gum never healed correctly, so I need a super-deep cleaning to get it cleaned out. Lo and behold, it's the tooth right in front of that that has shifted a bit. It's not loose or anything, but I wonder if there's a relationship between the two issues.

That said, my teeth have never really settled down, so it might just be coincidence. Either way, I'm starting to think I might be a good candidate for some ortho treatment. I didn't have braces as a kid, because I never worried about the little bit of crowding I had, but things have gotten worse as I aged. Now I'm wondering if it might not be a bad idea to straighten everything out, but I'm not so thrilled with the notion of braces at 34 years old. ffffuuuu.gif

Either way, I have a cleaning scheduled for next week, so at the very least I should have everything cleaned up then. I just hope this shifted tooth doesn't become a huge annoyance that can't be addressed short-term.

I always just think of how it's going to pad my return. It's like getting another bonus.
