Work is running a class within the company as prep for a professional accreditation. Attended the first one today and because of the relatively informal atmosphere compared to normal meetings, everyone thinks this is the time to try out their stand up routine. Constant attempts at one liners and tagging each others' one liners, and not a remotely funny line during the whole hour, just douche chills by the end.

Goddammit, I just chipped a tooth and I don't have access to my dentist because I am out of town.

Yeah, I heard those truck stop rent boys have really hard cocks.

If it is painful, get some clove oil and dab a bit on with a cue-tip.

Thanks, Fang. Luckily, there's no pain. I do need to be careful not to smile, though.

I've got an appointment with my dentist for when I get back to STL.

That sucks.

I have my front one chipped but it's very small and most people don't notice - my girlfriend noticed after a year and a half just the other day.

BUT.. my friend told me a few years back..

"Dude your tooth is chipped"

"Yeah it's been that way since I was a kid."

"Oh.. I never noticed. Wow."

"Yeah. Oh well."

After going out for a quick work meeting, I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror - I had 're-chipped' a damn good portion off somehow, maybe on a spoon or something. That's what my friend was pointing out. Went through an entire work meeting with customers looking like a hillbilly.

I have to give a presentation tomorrow. I do not like presentations.

I am pissed because I am studying for the bar exam, I've got roughly a week to go, and I don't know if I'm there yet.

I've been working fulltime for most of this period, though have been coasting this week and last. Some seriously frustrating shit has occurred, too. I've more or less moved in with my gf to a new place (she's closer to where the bar prep classes are, I'll move for real after the bar), had a cancer scare with an immediate family member, my father's had some cardiac issues and has been in the hospital twice, and my GF got mugged near our school the other day. Like L'Incandescent, I also broke a tooth (one of my molars is missing a quadrant now), but fortunately it does not hurt (yet), because I've no time to fix it. If I don't pass the bar, there will be hell to pay at work, too. And I am scared that I won't. Trying to decide to switch to a 10-6am sleep schedule because I SUCK in the mornings, or if accumulating a week of that will just put me in worse shape.

Not to be a downer, but this is like a truly essential skill these days. Good luck!

Hunts, hope all that works out and I have faith in you passing the bar.

I have the GMAT in two weeks...I guess that is pissing me off; really though, I just want it done. I've been doing all the review shit...doesn't seem too bad really.

Engineers usually do quite well on the quant part; you should nail that easily. Spend your time on the verbal for review.

huntsman - that a lot to deal with all at once. hope the stress fades away sooner than later, and best of luck with the bar.

biscotti - good luck with the GMATs, bro.

I'm pretty sure you'll do fine. You're a smart guy and it sounds like you put a lot of steady work in. You've already absorbed more than you probably realize. I always advise folks to dial it down the last week or so, and the day before get out for a beach day or a dumb movie. Sorry to hear about the other stuff though; I hope your girlfriend is OK.
I will bet any takers a beer that Huntsman becomes a full-fledged Huntslawyer.

i will not be taking that bet.

When I am at home, I often don't sleep in my bed, but rather on the floor. Now I am sleeping on a bed, and I can't keep the covers on because I sleep like a crazy person. I wonder if something is wrong with me and my ways?

Another thing is that whenever I take off my pj's top, I turn it inside out, even though that is not what I'm all about. A man should at least know how not to make his pj's turn inside out.
