Well my now former new GF out of the blue decides to unfriend me on FB and un invite me to her birthday party in early August. At first I didn't think much of it, with the constant tinkering at FB stuff disappears and re-appears all the time.

After a couple of days of total silence I call her to ask how are things going and I get the "I need time to think about things". First thought, um ok, if there's something wrong and I'm part of it, why not engage me in conversation? The former new GF suffered I guess a terminal case of over-thinking and second guessing where things were headed as a result things are kaput. I ended the conversation saying I loved her, miss her, she's always welcome in my life as a friend or something more.

Oh why do women self sabotage themselves early on in relationships with over thinking and second guessing their choices? Being five years off the half century mark I've learned over the years while a fair bit of work to build and maintain, relationships ain't brain surgery.

She doesn't like you but doesn't want to say it. If anything's her fault it's simply not being more upfront about it.

But this is SF and you have a Mad Men avatar, so I'll assume she's right in not liking you and being afraid to say it because you're probably creepy and she doesn't want to unsettle you.

The proper response is no response. There is at least a 50% chance that she would have reestablished contact within a few month if you had gone in that direction. All that "love you, miss you, want to be your friend" bullshit has sealed the deal on this one.

"Always welcome in my life as a friend or something more"??? Jesus fucking Christ, are you Oprah?

Last night I got into a real Seinfeld parallel parking situation. Never had that happen before....and it was after searching for a spot for a while.

Of course in this case, the spot was not actually big enough for the asshole to go front in. So he just sat there waiting for me to leave so he could swing forward and back in. We waited for a while, Honked the horn but the motherfucker was just smiling. For a second it looked like he was going to leave, but no, he insisted on being an asshole and was just trying to wiggle his way into the spot.

Didn't want to deal with it so just drove further. Ended up finding a better spot just up the block. The spot that got jacked as a metered spot, so it would kick in at 8AM...I found a spot that was a loading zone that didn't shut down until 9AM (meaning my girlfriend would have an extra hour before she had to wake up and leave).

Walked within sight of the asshole's car on the way back, and even without us in the picture, the little bitch was the worst-parked car on the street.

Crowded bar-filled street at 11:45...not to mention a block from the police station.

My house has two A/C zones. Top floors where my bedroom is AC is busted. It's 90 degrees up there. Where I"m sitting downstairs its a nice 68. Impossible to get an HVAC repair person here quickly in this heat. Waiting for someone who is supposed to be here between 4-6.....I could have hot yoga on my top floor right now.ffffuuuu.gif

I am visiting my mother in Wisconsin. I always forget how frustrating her behavior can be. She has lots of medical problems, but some of them are very, very easily dealt with. But she is so passive with regard to her problems that it literally does not occur to her to do the simple things that make a world of difference. When I remind her what she needs to do, she says "Oh wow, I never even thought of that." And then she feels much better.

I bet a lot of suffering in the world happens simply because people passively accept the conditions they're in. It's sad to see.

If anything I'm more annoyed at her taking a real passive approach like unfriending me on FB than being up front about where things were at.

Yeah, it's time to switch my avatar.

^^ What jumped out at me was that you were at the "I love you" stage and she was at a stage where she would effectively break up with you by unfriending you on Facebook. Seems like you were not even close to being on the same page.

I am visiting my family, although I am in the city where the University of Wisconsin can be found.

Another thing, while I'm at at: I shopped at Wal-Mart today (not willingly), and I noticed that the people there (1) get mad when other people stand there like cows in the middle of the aisle and (2) stand there like cows in the middle of the aisle.

The son's iphone 5 had been unable to turn off for the past three days. You would turn it off then it just turned back on. Went online and found directions on how to solve, reset to factory settings. So he backs the phone up resets then the iphone wont even turn on.WTF.

Saturday son takes iphone into Apple store, they tell him it could be a fault in hardware but seeing as he had a cracked screen replaced they wash their hands of it. So he takes phone to telco, not our problem as your not insured with us. Fuck mumble fuck.

Contact insurance company ( motto; while you live we grow) 'well if its a fault in the phone and you have not damaged it then its not our problem'. When he cracked the screen the insurance company provided us with their chosen repairman to fix it. So whose problem is this? Not Apples? Not the insurance company? Probably fucking mine at this rate.

By now i am pretty pissed off, so Sunday take phone into Apple. Staff look at phone and determine that its a hardware problem and that seeing iphone is still under warranty they replace it. Why the fuck they could not have done this yesterday with my son instead of fucking him around.

The fucking attitude is astounding and most of the staff in the store are only a couple years older than him and aren't digital natives Apples primary customer base. Fuck Apple and its feel good bullshit.

The handlebars I bought on Ebay had been cut in width--the description specifically said that they were uncut. I opened a case to get a full refund around four days ago...still not a single peep from the seller (which is odd since he/she has 1750+ transactions). Hopefully I get my full whopping $25 back.
