I don't share. I refuse to do so. I had a woman get upset with me a few weeks ago when she hinted that she wanted to try my entree. She was the spouse of a business colleague.

People who use the word entrée when they mean main course, i.e. Americans. Seriously just look at the word. Although a normal human main course probably is an entrée to most Americans.

That's just beyond the bounds of social norms.

How come you refuse to share your entree (main course of meal)? I have never asked anyone to share with me, of course, but I never turn anyone down who asks me to share.

I guess there's logic to not sharing at least with your spouse, women often try to dominate men and i think it's a safe bet that asshole is more attractive than a sweetie.

Alternatively going along that pack mentality I guess it would okay to say "you can have some when I am finished" lol

Nothing wrong with sharing if you go in with that expectation. But sometimes I just want a full piece of steak. I'm happy to buy my companion a steak, but I want the entire piece of steak I'm ordering.

I find that "Get your own damn soda, woman!" with the right slightly jocular inflection works just fine happy.gif

i don't try to share food off someone else's plate, with just one exception. if someone sits down in front of me with a plate of fries, i steal one. it's a habit ingrained in me since childhood, and i am mongoose-swift, so there's nothing anyone can really do about it.

My brother always asks "want to trade bites?" as soon as the plates hit the table. It drives me goddamn nuts. Not so much that he's asking for a bite but that it's before I even have a chance to try. It also puts me in an awkward position because I look like a dick when I call him a dick.

To do this, you gotta be quick. I still have a scar on my right hand from when a friend stabbed me with a fork in ninth grade for trying to swipe fries off his plate.
I damn sure learned my lesson.

He's your brother- you should be able to call him a dick any time, any place with zero social repercussions.

Once had a live in gf who snatched the last piece of pizza . Knowing I had been ripped off I chased her around the house a couple of laps ending up in the bathroom. Once she realized she was cornered she calmly flipped it into the toilet . Bitches are cold
